Tested for the equivalent of 20 years' useMiele carries out intensive endurance tests during the development phase in order to meet the highest quality standards. In these tests the appliances (e.g. washing machines) are expected to wash for 10,000 hours. This involves running a mix of approximately 5,000 wash programmes. This corresponds to approx. 5 programmes per week with an average cycle time of two hours – over 20 years.

Enamelled frontMiele enamels the front panels of all washing machines, tumble dryers, and washer-dryers. The high-quality enamel is scratch-proof, corrosion-proof, alkaline-resistant, impervious to acids, easy to clean and colour-fast.

Stainless-steel suds containerThe suds container is particularly robust and hygienic. It is supported by shock absorbers and four suspension springs, and is weighed down with cast-iron counterweights. This is Miele perfection for minimum wear and tear, excellent sound-proofing qualities, and durability.

Bearing cross and counterweights made of cast ironHigh-quality materials and manufacturing ensure less wear and tear and excellent stability in all Miele washing machines and tumble dryers.

The tumble drying systems from Miele

Condenser dryersCondenser dryers give you the option to install your appliance anywhere you want as the only connection required is a mains socket. Instead of ducting the moisture-laden air to atmosphere, condenser dryers cool it down in a closed air circuit causing the moisture to condense.

Heat-pump dryersMiele's particularly energy-efficient heat-pump dryers offer the same convenience and flexibility as conventional condenser dryers but use up to 50% less energy.

How would you like your appliance to be installed?Here are installation options to make it easier for you to choose the right combination of washing machine and tumble dryer.

Side by sideTechnically and optically, Miele washing machines and tumble dryers match each other perfectly. This allows you to install both appliances side by side and transfer freshly washed textiles conveniently to the tumble dryer. ChromeEdition models with slanted fascia panels offer ergonomic advantages. The WTS 510 plinth (optional accessory) offers practical storage space below the appliance – and a convenient working height.

Built-underMiele ChromeEdition appliances with straight fascia can even be installed under a worktop if the maximum installation height below the worktop is 82 to 85 cm. In such cases, the appliance lid is replaced with a building-under kit (e.g. UBS W1/G or UBS T1/G).

Slot-inAll Miele front-loading machines slot in under a worktop with a minimum niche height of 85 cm. This installation option does not require the appliance lid to be removed. W1 ChromeEdition machines with straight fascia panel as well as W1 WhiteEdition machines are particularly suitable for this type of installation

Washer and dryer stackIf there is not sufficient space available to install two appliances next to one another, most Miele washing machines and tumble dryers can be conveniently combined as a washer-dryer stack. In this arrangement, the washing machine is always installed under the tumble dryer.The WhiteEdition appliances are ideal for stacking. The door hinge on the tumble dryers can be changed so that the doors of both appliances open in the same direction.Miele offers various stacking kits for a stable connection between the two appliances. Some, e.g. the WTV 512 model, feature a practical drawer. This drawer is ideal for storing accessories for example or for conveniently resting the laundry basket on whilst loading and unloading the tumble dryer.

Fabric type, quantity of laundry and degree of soiling – all this must be taken into consideration when dispensing the correct amount of detergent. This sounds pretty complicated. That is why Miele is taking this off your hands.

With the TwinDos function two detergent containers can be integrated into the washing machine, and the appliance dispenses the optimum quantity of detergent for the laundry to be washed at the touch of a button.

For best results use UltraPhase 1 and 2, Miele's unique 2-Phase detergent system. TwinDos dispenses both components at the correct point in time during the wash cycle. This ensures the thorough cleaning of your laundry, and radiant coloured and white textiles.

And should you wish to use a different detergent such as powder? No problem! Simply dispense the powder via the detergent dispenser drawer.

No other liquid detergent washes whites as well as coloureds as thoroughly as the 2-Phase-System from Miele.That is because conventional liquid detergents do not contain any bleach as it would damage the other ingredients. But bleach is necessary to remove stubborn stains (coffee, tea, fruit juice, red wine).

UltraPhase 1 and 2 are stored and dispensed separately which makes it possible to add bleach to the TwinDos system.Active ingredients in UltraPhase 1 break up the soil and remove stains such as oil, grease, protein and starch stains.

With UltraPhase 2, bleach is added at the appropriate time during the wash process and removes even stubborn stains such as coffee, tea, fruit juice or red wine.

Water control system (WCS)The water control system (WCS) monitors the water intake with a water level sensor. Water intake is automatically terminated if the normal water level is not reached within a appropriate period of time. If there is water leakage inside the machine, the inlet valve inside the appliance is closed and the water in the suds container is pumped out. A float switch in the sump also detects leaking water.

Waterproof system (WPS)WPS also features a double solenoid valve directly at the stopcock. In the event that the first valve is defect, the second one closes the inlet. The sheathed inlet hose also ensures the highest level of safety: in the event of a defect in the inlet hose, water flows down the outer sleeve into the sump. Just as the WCS, the WPS also features intelligent sensor technology: leakages are recognised and the water intake is terminated.

For households with large volumes of laundry should opt for the XL model.

Slanted fasciaThis larger washer-dryer with a depth of 67 cm can wash and dry up to 5 kg of laundry in one single process. If you only wash your laundry, the appliance can be loaded with up to 8 kg of textiles. The XL model is designed as a freestanding machine and has a slanted fascia panel which makes it easy for you to read the display.

Slanted fasciaIf you want to have a freestanding washer-dryer in your apartment or in the cellar, we recommend a machine with a slanted fascia panel. The slight incline of the panel allows you to read the display very easily.

Compact technology, compact dimensions. With a depth of 60 cm, Miele's WT1 washer-dryer can wash and dry up to 4 kg of laundry in one single process. If it only washes the laundry, it can process up to 7 kg of laundry. For this reason it is ideal for smaller households with average volumes of laundry. Two different fascia panel inclines are available for the compact WT1.

Straight fasciaThe washer-dryer with straight fascia can be perfectly integrated into your kitchen. Simply slide it under a worktop that is at least 85 cm high. Alternatively, the appliance lid can be replaced using a building-under kit. The washer-dryer can then fit under an 82-cm high worktop.

Miele's portioned capsules are a convenient solution for processing laundry requiring special applications. They are simply placed into the fabric conditioner compartment. The appliance dispenses the contents automatically at the perfect point in time during the wash process. 1-2 Lift-SystemTwo easy steps to set up, requiring little or no effort at all! With the patented2) 1-2 Lift System, the entire appliance, consisting of a hand iron, ironing table and steam generator, can be set up in only two sweeping movements. Unlock and allow the ironing table to slide into a horizontal position until it engages - almost like magic. The FashionMaster not only irons laundry but also reduces back strain!

Active ironing boardThe ironing table assists you actively with three intelligent functions. The inflation function ensures that items are ironed particularly gentle, the suction function a more intensive steam application. Pressing the steam button on the iron activates the suction or inflation function of the ironing table, and switches it automatically off when you decide to take a short break. The memory function saves the last selected setting and reactivates it when steam is required again.

Automatic rinsingMineral residue left behind by the evaporation process must be regularly removed by rinsing the steam generator to ensure consistent appliance performance. The FashionMaster calculates rinse intervals automatically based on the volume of water evaporated. The rinsing process will then commence automatically immediately after switching the appliance on. The only matter to take care of is to empty the residual water container.

AutoOff functionWhen the iron or Steamer is not used for approx. 15 minutes, the entire appliance switches off automatically. No need to worry if you have forgotten to switch the iron off.

CoolDown functionSAFETY is always high on the agenda at Miele: consequently, movement sensors and monitoring of controls ensure that the hand iron switches off automatically after it has not been used for approximately 3 minutes. As soon as a movement is detected, the appliance switches on again.

DisplayThe display enables you to keep track of appliance settings. It also informs you sufficiently early and reliably if, for example, descaling is required or the water tank needs replenishing.

Guided descalingAfter you have keyed in the water hardness before using the appliance, the programme automatically determins the required descaling cycle and displays a timely reminder. You start the descaling programme simply by pressing a button. The appliance will prompt you to add a descaling tablet, and then start the programme automatically.

Guided first-time useBefore using the FashionMaster for the first time, the programme guides you through the most important settings. You simply select in which language you would like information to be displayed, and key in the water hardness. The appliance automatically calculates the right descaling cycle. Unlike conventional irons, with the patented honeycomb soleplate steam is distributed in next to no time along a network of narrow channels across the entire soleplate. This allows the iron to glide effortlessly and gently over textiles, at the same time ensuring perfect ironing results.

Infinite height adjustmentWith convenient and infinite height adjustment, you can set the ironing table exactly to your individual working height. Supported by a built-in gas pressure stay, the ironing table can be conveniently adjusted to a working height of between 83 and 102 cm.

Inflation functionFor everything that is to be smoothed but not pressed, the FashionMaster ironing board offers a inflation function. The fan creates an air cushion between the item being ironed and the table. Perfect for ironing frills, cashmere pullovers, etc. The same function prevents seam and hem impressions.

Ironing multi-layered itemsSave physical effort and time. With the FashionMaster, multi-layered and dense textiles now only require to be ironed on one side, not on both. The large quantity of steam and high steam pressure applied can penetrate even thick, dense material such as denims. This makes ironing on both sides superfluous.

SteamWith up to 4 bar steam pressure and a consistent output of 100 g/min you can achieve professional ironing results with the FashionMaster. The dry steam penetrates even very thick, dense material and reduces ironing time. Steam pulses or continuous steam delivery - you can select the most suitable option using the steam button on the hand iron.

SteamerUnsightly creases in your jacket, evening dress or curtains are child's play for the FashionMaster's Steamer. It only weighs half as much as the hand iron but uses the same steam pressure and steam output. The brush attachment raises the pile on fabrics and ensures that safe distances are kept to garments. The Steamer can also be used when the FashionMaster is folded away.

Storage compartmentsWhen the FashionMaster is folded, you do not see cables, the iron, etc. What you see is its strikingly elegant design. 83 cm roller lengthCompared with a conventional hand iron, the area for ironing is five times as large. The roller width of 83 cm allows for extremely convenient ironing of large laundry items. A pillow case, for example, can be ironed in one single process.

Ample stacking spaceAfter ironing, laundry items drop gently and loosely onto the large laundry table, crease-free.

Automatic finger guardShould your fingers get underneath the hinged finger guard, the safety switch will react immediately and switch the motor off. This ensures that your fingers are protected. This ensures that your fingers are protected.

Convenient airing barThe swing-out airing bar serves for hanging ironed items to prevent creases. On the bar, items can cool down and dry completely.

Emergency releaseIf there is a power cut during ironing, the heater plate does not retract automatically when you release the foot control bar. Ironing in a seated positionEffortless ironing whilst sitting down. The roller is set into motion using a light-touch foot switch, and the heater plate lowers onto the fabric and applies contact pressure. The ergonomic working position reduces the strain on your back and leaves both hands free.

Space-saving storageAfter ironing has finished, a convenient fold-away mechanism allows space-saving storage. Folded together, the rotary ironer only requires 0.2 m² of floor space. Thanks to four stable castors, the rotary ironer is easy to move around.

Steam functionThis function allows ironing with steam. The twin-tank technology ensures fast steam generation, uniform steam distribution across the entire ironing area and up to 40 minutes of ironing with steam (using one tank of water). Washer and dryer stackIf there is not sufficient space available to install two appliances next to one another, most Miele washing machines and tumble dryers can be conveniently combined as a washer-dryer stack. In this arrangement, the washing machine is always installed under the tumble dryer.Miele offers various stacking kits for a stable connection between the two appliances.
