NET Power uses a novel, high-pressure, oxy-fuel, supercritical carbon dioxide cycle to produce extremely low-cost electricity from natural gas, coal or biomass.

• No atmospheric emissions: no CO2, SOX, NOX, Hg, and particulates; CO2 is produced at pipeline conditions with no parasitic load

• High target efficiency: 59% LHV for natural gas, 52% LHV for coal, both with 100% carbon capture

• Low capital and operating costs, w/out any value for CO2 sales or credits: on par w/ NGCC systems; much lower than SCPC systems

• Smaller plant: simple cycle; high pressure; fewer components

• Low water usage: can use ZERO water with a 3% reduction in efficiency by using air cooling

• Platform technology: LNG regasification, solar-natural gas hybrid, and direct EOR applications.

The result: low-cost, truly clean fossil fuel-based electric power.

CB&I, Toshiba, Exelon have partnered w/ NET Power to develop a 50MWt gas plant.

NET Power is starting development of its coal cycle, which builds off of the natural gas demonstration and integrates with currently available gasifiers.

NET Power’s low cost (with 100% carbon capture) when compared to competing technologies is driven by:

21 February, 2013 5

Low capital costs

• Elimination of all steam components

• Smaller components and footprint due to high pressure

• Elimination of emissions control equip.

• No additional CO2 capture equipment

• Prefabrication

• Use of lower-cost materials
