The Neighborhood Traffic Safety Alliance (NTSA) is a group of citizen volunteers from Vancouver’s neighborhoods who advocate for neighborhood traffic safety and offer input to Vancouver’s Public Works Department, Community Development Department and other regional transportation-related agencies. The NTSA acts as an independent organization that conducts its own meetings, which may be attended by City staff as needed, whose voting membership is from any recognized neighborhood association within the City of Vancouver. Residents who reside outside of recognized neighborhood associations can participate in the NTSA as well. The group typically meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Aspen Room at the Vancouver City Hall which is located at 415 W. 6th Street. The NTSA does not usually meet during the summer months or in December. Visit www.cityofvancouver.us/NTSA for more details. The primary goal of the NTSA is to assist with the identification of needs and potential mitigation for traffic issues affecting neighborhoods within the City of Vancouver. Since 2001, the NTSA has played a significant role in helping residents find solutions to their traffic safety concerns through the implementation of over 70 different projects throughout the community.
