Program Plan that includes four broad “Core Elements”– Monitoring and Assessment– Voluntary Restoration and Protection– Water Quality Standards for Wetlands– Regulatory activities including 401 certification

• Provides a statewide document to guide wetland conservation and restoration efforts

• Create additional grant opportunities for governmental and non-governmental entities

• Indiana’s remaining wetlands are under increasing pressure
