The Necklace (Reflection)
In the story “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant, the protagonist which
is Mathilde had to lie about her life and her actions. She was pretending to
be someone else and the woman never told the owner of the necklace that
she lost it and that’s why she has to live unpleasantly with all the conse-
quences she created. People should tell the truth even if it’s an atrocious
news. Humans should learn that being loyal is a way to be in peace with
yourself and with everyone else. In my opinion, it makes other to see you
as someone trustful. The dishonesty might turn into something unimportant
in just a few hours, but the changes are the ones who are going to disturb
your decision about lying. Being strong and saying what is right will always
make the problem to have an appropriate perspective. I have meet people
that lie mostly when they are afraid or not confident, therefore everything
becomes worst than what they planned. I learned that the deceit will never
be maintained hidden because it will appear in a point of life even if you
don’t want to. A diminutive calumny can make the distances between the
sky and the ground to decrease. The probability of being forgiven while
saying the truth, will always maintain in front of you.
