High sensitivity and productivityThe QSight® MSMS system’s StayClean self-cleaning source means you don’t have to shut down the system for scheduled cleaning and maintenance, for up to 35 days more science per year than competitors’ systems. And more uptime means higher throughput on the volumes of DBS samples you process every day.

Better ion flow for consistent performanceAt the same time, ions are transferred from the HSID interface to the system’s Laminar Flow Ion Guide™ technology, then moved to the analyzing region by a flow of background gas – no axial electrical fields are necessary. This means the system is not susceptible to the usual field fluctuations and delivers consistently high levels of performance. Instrument drift and frequent reoptimization and cleaning have been eliminated, for better system uptime and user productivity.

More analytes per runWith its high-energy diode to attract positive ions, the QSight® system’s UniField Detector™ technology causes positive ions to collide with the diode to form electrons, which cascade into the detector, while negative ions are detected as usual for pulse counting. What you get is near-simultaneous detection of positive and negative ions without the need for high-voltage switching. Polarity switching happens in microseconds, limited only by the ion source and ion path polarity switching – not by the detector.
