PIZZA

The name of the pizza is derived from the word picea, which comes from the Neapolitan dialect of Italian. It was the name for baked pancakes made from leavened dough, on which more ingredients were put. Already at the end of the 17th century first pizzerias came into existence. In the 18th century the pizza began with the addition of tomatoes, and it was actually in the form as we know pizza today.
