WOMEN EXPANDING BUSINESS GROUP HOSTS NETWORKING EVENT IN NEW HAVENOn June 6, the Murtha Cullina Women Expanding Business (WEB) Group hosted a cocktail party for more than 70 clients and friends. The event was held at Kitchen Zinc in New Haven, a woman-owned business. The event provided an opportunity for networking and fostering conversations that support women in the business world.

MURTHA HOSTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CAREER WALKIn May, Murtha Cullina participated in the Junior Achievement (JA) Career Walk Downtown Hartford. The JA Career Walk seeks to prepare students for choosing a potential career by gaining a better understanding of job opportunities in their community.

Thirteen high school students came to our Hartford office to meet with attorneys and staff and to learn about the various job opportunities available at a law firm. On the way out of our office, one of the teens was overheard saying, “I thought only lawyers worked in a law firm, there are so many other jobs here!”

In June, Team Murtha participated in a bowl-a-thon for Junior Achievement, raising more than $2,000 to support programs, like the Career Walk.
