CHOIR DIRECTOR NEEDED. St. Bede Catholic Church is seeking a director for the traditional choir. This part-time position requires applicants to have experience in vocal development and conducting, be a practicing Catholic, and be available for the 8am Sunday Mass and choir practice one night a week, preferably Thursday. After numerous attempts to secure that Mass would be celebrated daily, we have discovered that there will be no available priest to do so. Therefore, no daily Mass will be celebrated at St Bede May 31, June 1 and 2. If there is any change we will let you know. Mass intentions offered on these dates will be celebrated at the retreat.

Welcome to St. Bede! Patrick Gilbreath, a seminarian from the

Archdiocese of Mobile, will be here at St Bede for the Summer beginning this Sunday,

May 22nd until July.

My name is Patrick Gilbreath and I am excited to be assigned to St Bede this summer! I am in First Theology at St Meinrad Seminary in Southern Indiana, and this is my 4th year in seminary for the Archdiocese of Mobile. My hometown is Daphne, AL, but I have lived in a few different states growing up. I consider Alabama my home because it has been, by far, the best place to live and grow up in. I love to play sports, especially soccer, tennis, and frisbee. I enjoy photography and pretty much anything outdoors. I am looking forward to getting to know the parish and the people this summer!

1. Parents must be married in the Catholic Church. 2. If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must

make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before they can have their children baptized.

3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation).

4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate from the Church where they were married.

5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to come.

6. To have your child baptized, contact Joan at 272-3463 to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class.

7. Baptism in English is every 3rd Sunday of each month after the 10am Mass.

Vacation Bible School dates for this summer are June 13-16, Monday thru Thursday. The day

starts at 9 and concludes at 11:30 in the Family Life Center.

We happily accept clothing, household items, books, toys, small appliances and furniture to be sold in our Thrift Store.
