HOSPITAL STAYS All those planning a hospital stay or scheduling a surgery are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick beforehand. Please call the Parish Office or speak to Fr. McCaffery to schedule a convenient time during the week or after Mass. Also, please notify the parish if you or a family member is in the hospital. This is often the only way we know about a hospital stay and allows us to attend to the spiritual needs of our parishion-ers. Please continue to pray for those who are sick and hospitalized.

ST. REGIS STEWARDSHIP CORNER From the rich Eucharistic themes to be drawn from to-day’s second reading, one stewardship theme stands out: The Eucharist is Christ’s gift to us. Good stewards are grateful for this gift and realize that no matter their sta-tion in life, they are welcome to come to the table and receive the body and blood of Christ. If Jesus could break bread with his betrayer, Judas, his denier, Peter, and the other ten who deserted him, then he will welcome us. Do we truly appreciate what a tremendous gift it is to ap-proach the Lord’s table? Do we realize that the Holy Spirit means to transform us by the gift of Christ’s body and blood?

VOCATIONS HOLY HOUR St. Regis’s beautiful adoration chapel is waiting for you. Deacon Robert Falke and Yvonne Teeple, President of the Serra Club of Southeast Kansas City, Missouri, invite you to praise and glorify God’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, June 29 at 7:30am and Friday, July 5 at 11am; meditate on God’s Holy Word; share personal reflections; and pray for an increase in religious vocations. Why pray in the morning? In answer, all the hours of the day are good hours, but the evening is better for contrite reflection. In comparison, “the best time to make a holy hour is in the morning, before the day sets traps for us.” A Treasure in Clay, Archbishop Sheen.

MASS INTENTIONS Mass intentions are a way to remember our deceased loved ones or a special need of someone in our life. Each Mass has a designated intention. If you would like to schedule a Mass intention, please call or stop by the Par-ish Office during regular hours. A donation of $10 is suggested for each Mass. Mass intentions can be said for weekday or weekend Masses. If you would like a specif-ic date, it is best to reserve early.

LITURGICAL MINISTER SCHEDULE The Liturgical Minister Schedule for July and August has been emailed out to Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Serv-ers and Greeters. A hard copy of the schedule is availa-ble on the table in the Gathering Space. If you have any questions about the schedule, please call Colleen in the Parish Office. If you have a conflict with a particular weekend you are scheduled for a ministry, we ask that you please find a substitute. Thank you for serving our parish through theses ministries.

GUIDE BOOK & DIRECTORY ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY We are in the process of updating our annual Guide Book & Directory for the church. This book will contain every-thing pertinent to our church: the various ministries, or-ganizations, committees, activities, functions and events plus a complete directory of all members. This book is being provided and direct-mailed to each family at no cost to our church, and it is again being subsidized by local businesses that advertise. If you own or manage a busi-ness and would like to find out about advertising in our book, please call the Church Office.

Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize a Guide Book & Directory advertiser over a non-advertiser. It “will pay” to advertise in our new Guide Book & Directo-ry.

UPDATE MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION Does our Church database have YOUR family member-ship record correct? Here is your chance to update YOUR record for our annual Guide Book & Directory (if you haven’t already done so).

It is time for us to update our database with any changes, additions, or deletions that may have occurred in YOUR family over the past year. Have you changed your phone number? Have you moved? Are you preparing to move soon? Are all of your children still at home and are they all included in your membership record? Do you want your record published?

If you have not already informed the Church Office about changes to your record, please let us know now so that the information in the Guide Book & Directory is correct. The Church Office number is 761-1608.
