Lectio Divina Latin for “divine reading.” It represents a method of prayer and scriptural reading intended to promote communication with God. Every Monday at 4pm in the Chapel.

The Baptist shows up everywhere during Ad-vent! Even this Sunday, when the Gospel readings for the week take a turn and focus on events lead-ing up to the Nativity, John plays a starring role - and he’s not even born yet! Even in the womb, he leaped for joy at the nearness of the Savior. From the start, he fulfills his mission as the precursor, the Herald, the one who points the way and cries out, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” But his mission is not unique. It’s one we have all inherited as disciples. As we lead up to Christmas Day, how are we doing in that role? Are we able to identify the Christ in our daily lives? By our presence, can others see the Christ?
