satisfactory performance in our school. We got ranking top three in our class. My mother is the

best mom in the world. She teaches us patiently. Although, sometimes she is fussy, but I can

understand that all her fussiness are for our best. We love her so much

I remember first day when I went to school, my mother accompanied me. I was very

happy. She did it for 3 days. My sister and I was schooling at the same school. She was a smart

girl. She was got ranking in her class. In my view, she is unspoiled girl. As the oldest child in my

family, she always learns to us to do anything with our self and never bother our parents. But,

as a child I never think about that. Thats why I and my sister often contentious. I was very

happy when she moved to east java to continue her school. It means nothing more a rival for

me. But in process of time, I feel loneliness. I need her to tell about my problem. I can ask about

best use of time with her before. I miss her so much.

Back to time when I was still at elementary school

When I was in 1st

Yuliana Hermawan Tio. Her name was almost the same name as me. I Hope her intelligence can

be transmitted to me. :p Yuliana came from wealthy families. Her house is very big with 2

floors. I and my friends had came to his house for a dance rehearsal in preparation for a

farewell party at our school. What I remember about Yuliana is her appearance. She always

used thick glasses, up to knee-length socks, shirt buttons were buttoned up to the collar. Her

hair was always braided. Yuliana never bought snack in the school cafeteria. She always brought

lunch from home, really healthy menu. I think that's what makes her smart.

I graduated from secondary school in 2006. Graduation announcement in the event it

fainted after seeing this reality.

One of the unforgettable things on the day of graduation announcement we did scribble

the uniforms using spray painting or Pilox and exchanging signatures using markers. It was a

sense of joy that we would take off our blue and white uniforms with the new uniform white-

gray. And it's time we plan the next steps for our future. Kurnia would be back to her

hometown in Medan to continue his studies there, Violeta selected Senior High School 3 Batam,

one of the famous high school in Batam. Most people call it SMUNTI. Endang and I were still

together, and we chose to continue in vocational high schools 1 Batam majoring in Information

Technology. I signed up there with my father. First day I entered the school gates I saw

thousands of new student candidate at the school. It made me very pessimistic. My mind raced

to say "Can I compete with thousands of people there?" But finally I tried to be strong.

Beginning with written test for Math lesson, English and Indonesian. Still on the same day they

continued with psychological tests and tests of color blindness. Last test was interview. After

that we were given a few days until the test results were announced. It was the third time I

excited waiting for the announcement. And when the results were announced, my father saw

the announcement. Because the condition was not possible if I had to see it by myself, amid a

crowd of thousands people. From a distance I saw my father smiling, happy to know I passed

the test and I was included into the big 3. I really do not believe it. It was really great power of

Allah. Thanks God, for all Your miracles that You have given to me.

Before starting teaching and learning activities, there was a trend that every new

student must attend Student Orientation Period activities or called MOS. The activity lasted for

a week. This activity started at 5 o'clock at dawn each day and it end at 3 pm. Every day we

were given the task of carrying equipments and strange attribute. It was an impressive and

memorable way. some examples of attributes MOS should i wear were shoes with shoelaces

made from colorful rope, cone-shaped hat made from carton, plastic tape made from raffia

brooch to a scarf using pin, nameplate from the carton, and added a few things that must be

taken every day .

First day I passed well. I carried all the equipments and attributes. But on the second

day, I was having problems. I lost my orientation book and missing one of my ribbon on my

scarf. Finally I got a punishment from senior. On that day we were forced to eat raw garlic.

Hiyyekzzzz, really made me want to vomit. The most boring thing in that MOS activity was when

all the students gathered in the auditorium to listen to the discourse of the teachers as well as

introductions. Hufh, drowsiness began to attack. I think some of the other students there who

overslept. :D At that time each team asked to send a representative to show you a free

entertainment. Because nobody wanted to go forward, the senior finally chose me, Kemala and

1 person who happens I forget his name (^, ^ v) to come forward and sing a song. Like a Diva

with a mediocre sound we began to sing a song entitled My Heart sung by Acha ft Irwansyah.

Last day at lunch time, the MOS Committee provided menu Sambal Jengkol and we should eat

it. We should be bribe-bribery with friend next to us. So willy-nilly we had to eat it. Lucky, I got

good friend who can understand me. So when the senior was not paying attention, he ate all

Jengkols. His name was Pupus. On the last Day of this, we came home late than the previous

days. On that day it was the selection of the best teams, King and Queen, etc.. At that time

some of the names were called to move forward friends, including me. All senior scold us,

saying that we were a participant who could not be set, always resisted, and bla bla bla.. I

got confuse, because i remembered during the activities I always obeyed all commands from

the senior. Cuss out of their mouths, I was helpless, and could only cry. Suddenly we were

drenched with water that has been mixed with an assortment of flowers from behind.

Apparently that was a surprise. All the people who called and standing in front of were

birthday in the month of July. Oh, God. That moment will not be forgotten in my mind. The last

session of this activity is closing ceremony. We collected all attributes and burning it. That was

tiring day but unforgettable. We came home happily and waiting for a new day tomorrow

Hmmmmm. Actually, there are still a lot of story that I havent told you. Due to a limited

time and just for your information I did this project in my busy activities. I have to work from 7
