The Mexican Society for Geotechnical Engineering, the

Deep Foundations Institute, the Geo-Institute of ASCE,

and the Technical Committee TC-214 of the International

Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering,

are pleased to invite you to the 3rd International

Conference on Deep Foundations. This Conference will

create a space to promote technical developments and to

share international experiences about design and

construction of deep foundations, with particular emphasis

on soft soils.

students and all those involved with engineering works

The event will have four technical sessions focused on the

problems in soft soils, with the contribution of the most

distinguished experts between academics and geo-

practitioners in the different fields.

SESSION 1: Deep foundations

SESSION 2: Soil improvement

SESSION 3: Slurry walls

SESSION 4: Case histories

The official languages of the Conference are

English and Spanish

Official language

1. Interested authors should submit an Abstract not later than

May 22th, 2015. Acceptance of abstracts will be notified by June

5th, 2015.

2. The full papers should not be sent later than August 14th,

2015.

3. Submission of technical documents (abstracts and full papers)

shall be made electronically to Organizing Committee:

[email protected]

4. The full papers shall comply with the Technical Paper

Preparation Guidelines for the 3rd International Conference on

Deep Foundations (3rd ICDF), that can be downloaded at the

SMIG Website (www.smig.org.mx).

5. The SMIG will appoint a Reviewing Committee for each

technical topic. Committee will be constituted by qualified

professionals and will be responsible for reviewing and accepting

the manuscripts. Submitted manuscripts should be original but

should have not been previously published in similar forums.

Manuscripts of commercial nature or including any type of

publicity will not be accepted. Papers can be written in Spanish or

English.

Expo 2015

On November 11th and 12th, 2015, besides the different

activities of the 3rd International Conference on Deep

Foundations, a commercial exhibition will be held including the

participation of manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, consultants

and institutions related to deep foundations and soil improvement

in soft soils.

During the Expo 2015, construction equipment, field exploration

equipment, laboratory supplies, materials, products, as well as

computational tools and software will be exhibited. Among

others, institutions and government agencies will also participate.

Lona Valenzuela Auditorium in Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de

Mexico, A.C.
