We just celebrated Mother’s Day. In refl ection:THINGS ONLY A MOM CAN TEACH

My Mother taught me about ANTICIPATION:“Just wait until your father gets home.”My Mother taught me about RECEIVING:.“You are going to get it when we get home!”My Mother taught me LOGIC: “Because I said so, that’s why.”& …”If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you’re not going to the store with me.”My Mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE: “If you don’t stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way.”My Mother taught me to THINK AHEAD: “If you don’t pass your spelling test, you’ll never get a good job.”My Mother taught me HUMOR: “When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don’t come running to me.”My Mother taught me about my ROOTS: “Do you think you were born in a barn?”My Mother taught me about JUSTICE: “One day you’ll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you. Then you’ll see what it’s like.”My mother taught me RELIGION:“You better pray that will come out of the carpet.”My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL:“If you don’t straighten up, I’m going to knock you into the middle of next week!”My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY:“If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times: Don’t Exaggerate!!!”

Actually, our moms are wonderful gifts from God, who lovingly teach and lead and LOVE us! Thanks moms! This Sunday, I will give the Message related to the coming study on the Creation and Adam/Eve.

See ya Sunday,Wally

“Go into all the world and preach the goodnews to all creation” (Mark 16:15).

Although some Christians may be hesitant to witness to others, we need to remember that to be a witness simply means we tel l what we have seen. Children should be reminded that if they belong to Jesus Christ, they represent Him. Help them to realize that it is a wonderful privilege to be a witness for Jesus.Children’s Sabbath was such a special day watchingour kid’s show the love of Jesus in their l ittle hearts asthey led the Worship Service. What a blessing! Thank you.

Let this be your prayer: Father, remind me that I am Your witness on ass ignment. Help me also to teachthe children in my life that they speak for Christ through their speech, activities and conduct.

Children & Youth Happenings

Luke 10:1After this, the Lord appointed 70 others, and He sent them ahead of Him in pairs to every town and place where He Himself was about to go.”

I love th is season in our church year. Our youth lead u s in worship, ou r children lead us in worship, we recognize our grad uates, we offer Vacation Bible School to the comm unity and our youth prepare for their Summ er Mission Project. Do you know the role you play in each of those events and activities? Do you rea lize that God has appointed you to prepare the way for the young people in our church and comm unity? Well – you have a role and you are appointed. Thank you for the many ways that you help in these ministr ies through active involvem ent, f inancia l support, and the power of prayer. May God cont inu e to r ichly b less the ministries to ou r young people.
