Children Grow in Faith through Singing Parents, singing is one of the most effective ways of planting God’s Word and biblical teaching in the hearts and minds of children. Rhythm, melody, and rhyme combine to connect words to the deepest part of a child’s memory. It has been observed that we remember much more of what we sing than of what we hear or read. To help counter some of the negative and materialistic messages bombarding our children , TMBC’s children’s choirs offer a place where the love of Jesus is celebrated and taught through song. These groups meet on Wednesday nights along with other groups offering formative experiences for children. Children’s Wednesday night activities begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm. Music Friends (4 years-Kindergarten) Music Makers (1st-3rd Grade) Young Musicians (4th-5th Grade)

Hurricane Florence Disaster Relief in Washington and New Bern

Thank you to all who are wholeheartedly serving our neighbors in the devastation of Hurricane Florence. Please continue bringing in donations to help those in need.

From Brad ... We are well underway with our “Wholeheart” emphasis to build our commitment around the foundations of the church. Through our efforts to increase our commitment to Show Up (attendance), Sign Up (participation) and Step Up (generosity), we have already accomplished some pretty awesome things. Hurricane Florence brought devastation to our state, and TMBC is responding through our generosity of monies and donations. We are participating in disaster relief and recovery efforts as well through the NC Baptist Men and Women Disaster Relief and CBF Disaster Response. TMBC family and friends also thanked our community’s first responders with a “Blessing of the Badges” service and meal.

Many of our church family are continually inviting others to attend our worship, to join a small group, or simply to come and engage with us in community activities. We have also experienced personal testimonies, special services, and various ways to interact in our worship.

So far, our Wholeheart emphasis has allowed us to see areas of involvement and areas where we can commit to be the presence of God’s kingdom in Pitt County and beyond. As our efforts continue over the next few weeks, we challenge you to discover how you can be wholehearted in your commitment to our faith family and to God’s greater call. May we continue to grow in our faith and our desire to be “one in Christ Jesus” as God sets our wholehearts on fire!
