What does man gain by all the toil at which he toils
under the sun?
A generation goes, and a generation
comes,but the earth
remains forever.
8 All things are full of weariness;a man cannot utter it;
the eye is not satisfied with seeing,nor the ear filled with hearing.
10 Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”?It has been already
in the ages before us.
11 There is no remembrance of former things,
nor will there be any remembranceof later things yet to be
among those who come after.
When you die…
1. You will be forgotten
2. The world will be the same
3. What you’ve done will be
washed away
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
Funny the way it is, if you think about it Somebody’s going hungry and someone
else is eating out Funny the way it is, not right or wrong
Somebody’s heart is broken and it becomes your favorite song
Funny the way it is, if you think about it One kid walks 10 miles to school,
another’s dropping out Funny the way it is, not right or wrong
On a soldier’s last breath his baby’s being born
Dave Matthews
9 What gain has the worker from his toil? 10 I have seen the business that
God has given to the children of man to be busy with. 11 He has made
everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so
that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3
If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy,
the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.
C. S. Lewis
13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his
commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing,
whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12
What if there is MORE than life “under the sun”?
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in
the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58
