• 24 hour notice is REQUIRED. We cannot accept any last

minute appointments. • Doctor and Dentist appointments are to be scheduled on Monday, Wednesday

and Friday ONLY. Times should be scheduled between 11:00 am and 1:00

pm. Please provide us with your Doctor’s name, address, suite # and phone

number. Please do not make multiple appointments in one day. Plan to be

ready for pick-up at least one hour before your scheduled appointment.

• Shop-Rite trips are Tuesday & Thursday’s at 10:00 am.

• Trip to K-Mart in Westwood will be on the second Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am.

• The van services the following towns only: Northvale, Rockleigh, Norwood,

Harrington Park, Closter, Old Tappan, and Tappan.

Only 4 months until Christmas! Say it isn’t ‘snow’… BBQ’s, graduations, proms, the beach, school supplies – where does the time go? Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and had opportunities to be with family and friends. If your family and close friends are not in the area, do not ever feel alone or left out – come join your ‘other’ family and friends at The Center. There’s always coffee, dessert, music, etc. for you to embrace. Continue to enjoy the weather and make time for us at The Center. Our doors and hearts are always open!

TO ALL VAN USERS: Daily Morning Passengers - All passengers are to be ready for pick-up outside your home at 8:30 AM. The van driver will no longer call you to come outside or wait – he will need to continue picking up other passengers. For Dr. appointments, Shop-Rite, and K-Mart, please be ready 1 hour prior to scheduled pick-up times. There is a schedule that needs to be followed and if you are late, it disrupts the entire days schedule. I appreciate your cooperation!

answered! Donations are always needed and very much appreciated

at The Center. There’s always a need for coffee, yarn, and food pantry

items. Remember…whatever you can give is never too small. These

items can be brought to The Center or you can make a monetary

donation. A profound statement: “What you give comes back to you ten-fold!”

***FIT & FABULOUS*** Have you ever woke up in the morning and you feel aches and pains and say to yourself…”I swear I didn’t feel like this yesterday!”. There is something you can do to improve and feel better. Join us for: Movin’ with Music – Every Monday at 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, come and join in for a light aerobic workout, stretching, and light weights, all while moving to the sounds of great music. Led by professional instructor Nancy Whitaker. Only $5 for a one-hour workout you will truly enjoy! Chair Exercise – Held every Monday and Thursday at 11:00 am. Sit back in a comfortable chair and feel energized and reach for the stars. There is NO fee for this class. Strength Training – Offered every Wednesday at 3:30 pm and Friday at 9:30 am. Led by professional instructor Stephen Sinisi. Light weights, stretching and conditioning. Only $5.

***UPCOMING PRESENTATION***

Thursday – August 23rd @ 11:15 AM – The NJ Eye Center of

Bergenfield will be offering a presentation on the “Aging Eye” as well as a “FREE” eye exam. They were originally scheduled to come on July 9

th, but at the last minute, the Dr. was called in for

an emergency surgery; therefore, I have re-scheduled.

2018 ‘NEW’ MEDICARE

CARDS UPDATE

I have received a few calls

concerning the 2018 ‘New”

Medicare Cards that have not

been received. In speaking

with a Medicare Counselor of

the Bergen County Division of

Senior Services, I have been advised that according to the

Medicare website, the cards have not yet been mailed and there

was no indication of when they would be. The counselor stated

that to not be concerned, as it will take until April 2019 for ALL the

cards to be mailed.
