The first step was to add the background. I had taken a picture of Felix’s house before it got too dark which gave it a nice, moody look. I knew that I would give it effects to give

a darker feel and to emphasise the red colours (including the door).

Next was to add the antagonist to the image. I took a picture of him in front of a white background so that it would be easier to duplicate just him onto the background. I knew that the lighting of the background and the character were different but I knew I could make them

blend using effects once I had finished the whole thing.

When creating the title, I thought of ways to make it interesting and eye-catching. I wanted a simple, elegant look to I chose a sans-serif typeface and then erased the middle lines of the A’s in the title. This just added a small bit of interest without

overpowering the poster. For a final touch, I faintly rubbed out the bottom and top edges of the letters to blend the title better with the background.

Next was adding the tagline and credit block. For the tagline, I didn’t erase parts of the letters as to make it more readable. However, I put emphasis on the words

“remember” and “forget” by colouring them a darker, vibrant red to make them pop as they were the most important part of the tagline. For the credit block, I followed the conventions of it to give it a more realistic look of a poster. This means tall thin letters

and the most important parts are larger.

To get the finished, cinematic look I added effects and played around with various things such as contrast and brightness. This was also to make the character and the

background blend together as they were two separate images with different lighting.
