Aurelio will not accept losing her. Throughout the years, he has been successful in all his battles, whether against rival cartels or lovers. He will do the impossible to win back Ximena’s love, while working hard to continue being “The Lord of the Skies.”

He was born into a humble family in Guamuchilito, Sinaloa. At a young age he started working in the marijuana and poppy fields, first with his father and later with Don Cleto Letran, his father-in-law and mentor.

His weakness is his family: his wife, his children and his mother.

Es la hija de Don Cleto Letrán y mujer de Aurelio, con quien se ligó sentimentalmente siendo ambos muy jóvenes. Ha vivido desde siempre en el mundo narco y, aunque nunca se ha involucrado directamente en los negocios de su padre ni de su compañero sentimental, conoce a la perfección cómo operan. Ximena vive permanentemente en la contradicción de dar a sus hijos una buena educación, apegada a ciertos valores y al mismo tiempo ser solidaria con ese mundo de crimen en el cual creció.

Ximena siempre toleró las continuas infidelidades de Aurelio, a sabiendas de que ella era la mujer que él realmente amaba. Sin embargo, ahora que se han comprometido para casarse y que Aurelio prometió serle fiel, no está dispuesta a permitirle que rompa su promesa.

She is the daughter of Don Cleto Letran and the woman of Aurelio, with whom she has been romantically involved since they were very young. She has always lived in the drug trafficking world and, even though she has never been involved directly in her father’s business nor that of her partner, she understands perfectly how it operates. Ximena’s life is a constant contradiction between giving her children a good education and instilling in them certain values, and at the same time being supportive of the world of crime in which she grew up.

Ximena always tolerated Aurelio’s constant unfaithfulness, knowing full well that she was the one he really loved. However, now that they are engaged to be married, and that Aurelio has promised to be faithful to her, she is not willing to let him break his promise.

Agente especial del DAS colombiano, estuvo en los equipos que ayudaron al abatimiento de Pablo Escobar Gaviria. Es una mujer fría, directa, que sabe lo que quiere. Se infiltrará en la organización de los Casillas, donde será objeto del amor de Heriberto y del deseo del propio Aurelio. Para remate, tendrá una relación amorosa-pasional con Marco Mejía.

El gran enemigo de Aurelio Casillas, su Némesis. Un policía entrenado por la DEA, organización a la que se unió a raíz del asesinato de su padre, el legendario agente Eduardo Cartagena. De regreso en México, es nombrado Comisionado Especial de la Presidencia para asuntos contra el narcotráfico.

Marco es un hombre taciturno, silencioso y sereno, entrenado en artes marciales y en el uso de las armas. Su objetivo es capturar a Aurelio Casillas – el asesino de su padre – para enviarlo a una cárcel norteamericana. Por ello, le sigue los pasos muy de cerca, de forma casi obsesiva. Y aún cuando queda la duda de si su cruzada es un acto de venganza o no, él siempre sostendrá que lo mueve el deseo de hacer justicia.

He is Aurelio Casillas’ nemesis and number one foe. A police officer trained by the DEA, which he joined as a result of the murder of his father, the legendary agent Eduardo Cartagena. Upon his return to Mexico, he is appointed as the President’s Special Commissioner for Drug Trafficking Affairs.

Marco is a quiet, reserved and calm man, trained in martial arts and the use of weapons. His goal is to capture Aurelio Casillas —his father’s killer— and send him to a jail in the United States of America, so he follows Casillas’ every move very closely, almost obsessively. Even though there is some doubt as to whether his crusade is an act of revenge or not, he will always maintain that his motivation is to see justice done.

A special agent of the Colombian DAS, she was a member of the teams that helped gun down Pablo Escobar Gaviria. She is a cold, straightforward woman, who knows what she wants. She will infiltrate the Casillas organization, where Heriberto will fall in love with her and Aurelio will desire her. On top of it all, she will have a passionate love affair with Marco Mejia.

Al hermano menor de Aurelio le dicen “Chacorta” por su carácter impulsivo, que explota fácilmente. En principio es leal a su hermano y comprometido con los negocios familiares. Pero Matilde, su mujer, con quien mantiene una relación de amor, odio y dependencia, vive metiéndole la idea de que él – y no Aurelio – debería ser el jefe de todo el clan.

Celoso, machista e inseguro, Chacorta es además un gran tirador, su arma favorita es la pistola nueve milímetros. Y difícilmente le tiene miedo a algo, por ello, constantemente, sigue al pie de la letra los planes descabellados de su hermano. Sin embargo, las tensiones entre ambos surgirán cuando Aurelio comience a dudar de la lealtad de Chacorta.

La esposa de Chacorta es natural de Cali, Colombia. Se casaron luego de que él la sacara de los bares de mala muerte donde cantaba. Insidiosa, envidiosa y mentirosa, Matilde sueña con volver a cantar y hará lo que sea necesario por conseguirlo. Con su marido lleva una relación basada en un juego macabro de dependencia sexual y celos permanentes.

Aurelio’s younger brother is known as “Chacorta” because of his impulsive and explosive nature. Theoretically, he is loyal to his brother and committed to the family business. However, his wife Matilde, with whom he has a love-hate relationship and whom he is dependent on, keeps trying to convince him that he, and not Aurelio, should be the head of the family clan.

Chacorta is sexist, jealous and insecure, but he is also a good sharpshooter, and his favorite weapon is a nine-millimeter gun. He is hardly afraid of anything, and so he consistently follows his brother’s crazy plans to the tee. However, tension between the two will develop when Aurelio begins to have doubts about Chacorta’s loyalty.

Chacorta’s wife is a native of Cali, Colombia. They were married after he got her out of the seedy bar where she used to sing. Deceitful, envious, and a liar, Matilde dreams of restarting her singing career, and will do whatever she needs to achieve this. Her relationship with her husband is based on a macabre game of sexual dependency and constant jealousy.

El segundo de los Robles no es guapo pero le va bien con las mujeres. Es el operador del negocio familiar, posee el don de la palabra y del trato diplomático. Se siente distante de Guadalupe, a quien quiere pese a considerarlo una bestia. Inteligente, afable y traicionero. Jamás se ha manchado las manos de sangre, aunque sí ha mandado a matar a muchos.

El hermano mayor de los Robles creció entre complejos y frustraciones: ni es demasiado inteligente ni ha tenido suerte con las mujeres, por lo que debe comprar sus favores, lo cual siempre le deja una agridulce sensación en la boca. Es un misógino que disfruta humillando a las mujeres. Su rabia contenida lo llevó a convertirse en el brazo armado de su familia.

Al igual que Ximena, nació y creció en el mundo del narcotráfico, pero, a diferencia de ella, Mónica sí se involucró en el negocio desde que egresó de la universidad. Ahora, junto con sus dos hermanos, dirige el cartel que les legó su padre.

Sensual, de carácter fuerte, Mónica es una mujer dominada por sus pasiones. Su gran debilidad, su obsesión casi enfermiza, es Aurelio Casillas, con quien sostiene una relación clandestina, de amantes, desde que eran muy jóvenes y que se ha mantenido, incluso después de que ambos se convirtieran en rivales de negocios. Siente celos profundos por Ximena, a quien habría mandado al otro mundo si no fuera por el temor de perder a Aurelio para siempre.

The second of the Robles brothers, he is not handsome, but he has luck with women. He operates the family business, has a way with words and knows how to be diplomatic. He feels distant from Guadalupe, whom he loves in spite of considering him a thug. He is intelligent, affable, and treacherous. He has never actually committed murder himself, although he has had many people killed.

The eldest Robles brother; he has grown up with many complexes and frustrations: he is not that intelligent, and he has not been lucky with women, so he has to buy them, which always leaves him with a bitter taste in his mouth. He is a misogynist who enjoys humiliating women. His repressed anger has driven him to become his family’s strong arm.

Just like Ximena, she was born and raised in the drug trafficking world, but unlike her, Monica has been involved in the business since she graduated from the university. Now, with her two brothers, she runs the cartel they inherited from their father.

Sensual and strong-willed, Monica is a woman who is controlled by her passions. Her biggest weakness, her almost sickly obsession, is Aurelio Casillas, with whom she maintains a secret affair. They have been lovers since they were very young, and their relationship has continued even after they became business rivals. Monica is deeply jealous of Ximena, whom she would have killed if not for her fear of losing Aurelio forever.

El Cabo ha sobrevivido a narcos, carteles y persecuciones. De origen colombiano, es adicto al trabajo. Arriesgado, dicharachero y tradicionalista, ascenderá de peón de Cadena a hombre de confianza de Aurelio y de Mónica. Luego los traicionará a todos, para convertirse, desde Colombia, en el amo y señor del negocio.

Don Oscar es uno de los narcos más respetados de Colombia, aunque ya intuye que comienza su hora del declive, cosa que él trata de tomar de la mejor manera. Su sabiduría será clave al momento de dirimir e inclinar la balanza en los conflictos generados por la ambición desmedida de Aurelio.

Desde pequeño se vio influenciado por la actividad delictiva de Guadaña, su hermano mayor. De carácter sanguinario, es certero con las armas blancas y sabe intimidar a los hombres, sobre todo a los que debe ejecutar, lo cual le ha ganado el respeto en la organización de Cadena. Mantiene una relación fraternal con El Cabo.

El Cabo has survived drug traffickers, cartels, and pursuits. A native of Colombia, he is a workaholic. Daring, chatty, and a traditionalist, he will be promoted from being a Cadena laborer to become Aurelio’s and Monica’s right-hand man. Later on, he will betray them all in order to become the business’ top boss, operating from Colombia.

Don Oscar is one of Colombia’s most respected drug lords. He already senses that his star is about to wane, which he tries to deal with the best he can. His wisdom will be key when tipping the scales and settling the conflicts generated by Aurelio’s excessive ambition.

Since childhood he has been influenced by the criminal activities of Guadaña, his older brother. Bloodthirsty by nature, he is proficient in the use of bladed weapons, and knows how to intimidate men, especially those he must execute. This has earned him the respect of the Cadena organization. He has a brotherly relationship with El Cabo.

“Estemos con los dos bandos: sigamos con los Robles y si de pronto Casillas nos da papayita, pues operemos con él también. ¿Quién dijo que no podemos?”.

“Let’s play with both sides. Let’s keep working with the Robles and if Casillas gives us a chance, well, we’ll work with him too. Who says we can’t?”

Es un periodista creyente en la justicia y no teme destapar o publicar temas que generalmente pudieran ser censurados por tocar al poder. Linares tiene renombre, credibilidad y experiencia. Es apasionado e idealista. Y trabajará en conjunto con Eugenia, a quien ayudará en su afán por descubrir los negocios sucios del coronel Jiménez Arroyo.

Joven y aguerrida periodista, compañera sentimental de Marco Mejía y experta en el tema del narcotráfico, Eugenia ha ascendido en su carrera gracias a sus reportajes audaces y valientes. Su mundo se tambalea cuando Marco cae en una relación pasional con Leonor Ballesteros, una agente especial colombiana que comienza a trabajar con él.

He is a journalist who believes in justice and is not afraid to uncover or publish subjects that might normally be censored because they make those in power uncomfortable. Linares has fame, credibility, and experience. He is passionate and idealistic. In addition, he will work together with Eugenia, whom he will help in her effort to uncover Colonel Jimenez Arroyo’s dirty dealings.

A brave, young journalist, and Marco Mejia’s significant other, Eugenia is an expert in drug trafficking matters. She has risen in her career due to the bold and daring stories she writes. Her world teeters when Marco falls into a passionate relationship with Leonor Ballesteros, a Colombian special agent who starts working with him.

Proveniente de una familia de libaneses, es la mano derecha, asesor legal y consigliere de Aurelio. Maneja el dinero producto de la droga y hace magia lavándolo. “El Turco”, como es conocido, habla poco y no muestra ningún tipo de nostalgia ni con su tierra ni con su familia. Lo que sí nacerá en él es un amor platónico y silencioso por Ximena.

Es una mujer distinguida, hija de una de las familias más ricas del país. Pese a la oposición familiar, se casó siendo muy joven con el entonces cadete y ahora coronel Jiménez Arroyo. Doris sueña con que su marido llegue a la Presidencia de la República, aunque para lograrlo ella deba abrir las puertas a la corrupción y las alianzas con el crimen organizado.

Es un hombre lleno de contradicciones y secretos. De sus tiempos de infancia allá en Sinaloa, el hoy flamante coronel Jiménez Arroyo conserva una relación cercana con Aurelio Casillas. Fue él quien lo enseñó a leer (de ahí su apodo “El Letrudo”) y quien más adelante, desde las distintas posiciones que ocupó en el ejército, lo apoyó en su ascenso como narcotraficante.

Las cosas, sin embargo, están por cambiar. Una vez sea nombrado Comisionado Presidencial Antidrogas y movido por el deseo de alcanzar las más altas esferas de la política nacional, Daniel Jiménez Arroyo establecerá nuevas alianzas y terminará dándole la espalda a Aurelio. Para el narcotraficante, la traición de su aliado y amigo de la infancia será un golpe difícil de asimilar.

From a Lebanese family; he is Aurelio’s legal advisor and consigliere, his right-hand man. He handles the money from drug sales and does wonders when it comes to laundering it. “El Turco”, as he is known, has little to say and does not appear to be homesick for his country or his family. But, he will begin to love Ximena with a platonic and silent love.

She is a distinguished woman, daughter of one of the richest families in the country. Despite her family’s opposition, at a very young age she married the then cadet and now Colonel Jimenez Arroyo. Doris dreams of her husband becoming President of the republic, although to attain this, she must open the doors to corruption and alliances with organized crime.

He is a man full of contradictions and secrets. The dashing Colonel Jimenez Arroyo has a close relationship with Aurelio Casillas that dates back to their childhood in Sinaloa. He was the one who taught Aurelio how to read (hence his nickname “The scholar “) and who later, from the different positions he held in the Army, supported Aurelio while he rose as a drug lord.

However, things are about to change. Having been appointed as the President’s Antidrug Commissioner, and prompted by a desire to break into the highest political circles in the country; Daniel Jimenez Arroyo will form new alliances and will end up turning his back on Aurelio. For the drug lord, the betrayal of his ally and childhood friend will be a difficult blow to deal with.

También está orgullosa de que hayan llegado lejos. Pese a su escasa educación, tiene la sabiduría y la fuerza que le ha dado su vida difícil llena de trabajos y penurias.

The mother of Aurelio and Chacorta is a woman of humble origins who is constantly worried about what might happen to her children because of the dangerous lives they lead. She is also proud that they have come such a long way. In spite of her limited education, she has the wisdom and strength gained from a difficult life full of hardships and struggles.

Patriarca de su familia, sabio consejero de su hija Ximena. Don Cleto se rige por los códigos de honor de la vieja escuela de mafiosos y le causa conflicto que Aurelio y Chacorta hagan las cosas a su manera, sin la decencia de antaño. Tratará de mantener a los distintos carteles trabajando juntos pero su propio yerno lo traicionará y llevará a la muerte.

The patriarch of his family and wise advisor to his daughter Ximena, Don Cleto adheres to the code of honor practiced by old-school mafia members and he is at odds with the fact that Aurelio and Chacorta do things their own way, without the decency of previous generations of gangsters. He will try to keep the various cartels working together, but his own son-in-law will betray him and cause his death.
