Our panelists were Nicole Leet, who is at Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett and Brieske, Edward Piasta of Piasta Newbern and Walker, Michael Neff, Michael Lawson Neff, P.C., and Whitney Law Greene from Drew Eckl and Farnham. Kevin Patrick, Kevin Patrick Law, was the moderator for this discussion. The panelists offered insights into these types of cases from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s perspective, as well as insights into discovery practices and new trends in premises litigation and trials. They also offered pointers to younger attorneys in the audience. Friday, May 10, 2019 – Securities Litigation and Trial Our final breakfast meeting held in conjunction with the Securities & Corporate Litigation Subsection. The panel discussion focused on securities litigation and trials. The moderators for this panel were B. Warren Pope of King & Spalding and Walter W. Davis of Jones Day. We enjoyed hearing from our panel that included, John Herman, Robbins Geller Rudman & Down, Michael Fistel, Johnson Fistel, Jessica Corley, King & Spalding, and Michael McConnell, Jones Day. Our panelists are truly experts in this evolving area of the law and highlighted new development and trends with securities litigation. .
