Scammers may use the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to steal your identity and commit Medicare fraud. In some cases, they might tell you they'll send a Coronavirus test, masks, or other items in exchange for your Medicare Number or personal information. Don't fall for it; it's a scam.

It's important to always guard your Medicare Number and check your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) for errors. Only give your Medicare Number to participating Medicare pharma-cists, primary and specialty care doctors, or people you trust to work with Medicare on your be-half. Remember, Medicare will never call you to verify your Medicare Number.

Talk to a Doctor Whenever, Wherever With

Virtual Medical Visits As a member of a UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Advantage plan you’re

able to see a doctor any time, any day, from wherever you can access a strong internet connection. With virtual medical visits you can have a live

video chat with a doctor using your computer, tablet or smartphone.1

You can ask questions, get a diagnosis or get medication prescribed and

have it sent to your pharmacy.

Here are answers to some common questions about

virtual medical visits offered through American Well

(Amwell). • How quickly can I talk to someone and how long does a visit last? You may start a visit im-

mediately with an available provider or wait about 5 minutes for an on-demand appoint-

ment. You may also choose to schedule a visit.

• Who will l be talking to? You can find a list of participating virtual visit providers by logging

in online at amwell.com.

• How much does it cost and when can I use it? A virtual visit with Amwell has a $0 copay

and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• What kind of illnesses can I use the virtual doctor visit for? Virtual doctor visits may be best

for situations like a cold, flu, skin rash or eye issue. You will be advised by the virtual doc-

tor if an in-person visit is appropriate. Virtual doctor visits are not appropriate for serious

or emergency medical situations.

1. Go to amwell.com. 2. Create an account. 3. Choose the Urgent Care, then Medical icon. 4.

Select a doctor and begin your virtual visit.

Contact the Customer service number on the back of your Member ID card for more infor-
