SALES MANAGER Your Sales Manager will assist you with basic information in regards to The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, pricing, and selection of your wedding date. The Sales Manager will also assist you in all agreement information and work collaboratively with your Event Manager. EVENT MANAGER Once you have decided that you would like to share your very special day with us here at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, you will be introduced to your Event Manager. Your Event Manager will work with you on every aspect and detail of your special day. BANQUET CAPTAIN The day has finally arrived and you have carefully planned every moment. Your Banquet Captain will be your on-site person that will keep things on track.

MEETING FACILITY FEES The Reception Facility Fees are included in our Satin Slipper, Black Tie and White Glove packages. Ala Carte receptions may incur an additional Facility Fee. Discounted Facility Fees for Friday and Sunday Wedding Receptions available. The Hotel reserves the right to change room location specified in your contract should your attendance change or as deemed necessary by the Hotel. Ballroom space is held until 1 AM. MARRIOTT REWARDS POINTS You will earn 3 Marriott Reward Points for every pre-tax, and catering dollar you spend up to 50,000 points. GRAND BALLROOM The Grand Ballroom features sixteen foot ceilings with elegant lighting and neutral colors that compliment any theme you have in mind. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate a private dinner reception for up to 700 guests and can include the atrium area for a separate cocktail hour space. YANKEE HILL The Yankee Hill room is located on the third floor of the office plaza so it is easily accessible from the top floor of the parking garage. It also has windows on three sides facing the Nebraska State Capitol as well as stunning views of downtown Lincoln. The Yankee Hill rooms can accommodate 160 people for a private dinner reception or 200 guests for a private ceremony. It can also be used for a separate ceremony and reception for up to 120 guests.
RENASSIANCE BALLROOM The Renaissance Room has rich wood accents and large windows on two sides that overlook the Nebraska State Capitol. It is an excellent room for smaller wedding, rehearsal dinners or wedding Ceremonies. The Renaissance Room can accommodate a private ceremony for up to 200 guests or private dinner reception for 115 guests and can include the Great Room for a cocktail hour.

LANCASTER BALLROOM The Lancaster Ballroom is secluded away from the main flow of hotel traffic. The Lancaster Ballroom can accommodate a private ceremony for up to 500 guests or private dinner reception for up to 350 guests and can include the Lower Level Lobby for cocktail hour space. Located next to the Lancaster Ballroom is the Arbor Room that can accommodate a private ceremony for up to 200 guests or a private rehearsal dinner for up to 160 guests.

PARKING The City of Lincoln owns and manages two adjacent covered parking garages. Parking charges are complimentary the first hours and then $1.25 an hour up to $11.25 for overnight parking. Valet parking can be provided at $20.00 per day. The daily valet charges can be added to the guestroom charges and paid upon check out. Garage pricing is subject to increase during city special events. The city of Lincoln reserves the right to change the parking fees without notices.
FOOD & BEVERAGE All food & beverage served in the hotel is to be provided by the Hotel. Dietary substitutions can be made available upon prior request. Any food & beverage functions canceled are subject to a cancellation fee based on the sales contract. Food & beverage prices may change without notice. Ethic food provided by an outside vendor must be preapproved through the hotel and supplied by a licensed vendor. The guest must sign a liability waiver. Ethic food supplied by outside vendor is only allowed at the hotel’s discretion and with written approval. GUARANTEES Guaranteed numbers of guests is required a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the function & is not subject to reduction. You will be billed for the guaranteed number or actual attendance, whichever is greater. SMOKING The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is a smoke free environment, including electronic cigarettes. This includes all guest rooms, meeting rooms, public areas, indoor pool, restaurant, and bars. Designated smoking area is provided outside on the ground level of the facility.
SERVICE CHARGE & SALES TAX The applicable taxable service charge (currently 22%) & applicable sales tax (currently 9.39%) will be added to all food & beverage, facility fees, & audio visual equipment. Service charge & tax may change without notice. DEPOSITThe first non-refundable deposit due with your signed agreement is equal to room rental. An additional 30% of the food & beverage minimum is due six months prior & 60% is due three months prior. The estimated final balance is due 96 hours prior to the event. All deposits are nonrefundable & coincide with cancellation fees if the event is to cancel. The Hotel accepts all major credit cards, cashier’s check, or cash. ALCOHOL If alcoholic beverages are to be served on the Hotel premises (or elsewhere under the Hotel’s alcoholic beverage license) the Hotel will require the beverages to be dispensed by hotel servers & bartenders only. The alcoholic beverage license requires the Hotel to (1): request proper identification (photo I.D.) of any person of questionable age & refuse alcoholic beverage service if the person is either underage or proper identification cannot be produced & (2): refuse alcoholic beverage service to any person who, in the hotel’s judgment, appears intoxicated.

What are the food and beverages policies? All food and beverage must be provided by The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. No food and beverage shall be brought into the hotel by patrons or attendees. (With the exception of wedding cake and mints.) All food and beverage must be consumed on property. No food or beverage may be taken out of the meeting space. The sale and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the State of Nebraska and City of Lincoln Codes. As licensee the hotel is responsible for the administrations of these regulations. Therefore all guests will be required, by hotel and the State of Nebraska, to provide proper identification when consuming alcoholic beverages.
What about other payments? Unless paid in cash, money order, or other guaranteed form of payment, all charges for the Event must be paid by credit card or check, in which case a credit card authorization is required. Credit Card authorizations are required for all payments by check made within 30 days of the event date as a payment guarantee. In order to confirm your event you shall provide hotel with credit card authorization information. A Credit Card Information Request e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided to the hotel. When do I need to decide the menu for my wedding? Final menu selections should be decided about two months before your reception. Menu tasting is available to sample our selection.

Is there anything else I should know? Any personal items you would like to keep such as additional décor, vendor cake stand, cake knife and server, wedding gifts, champagne glasses, and any other items not belonging to the Hotel are your responsibility to remove at the end of the function. Hotel is not responsible for any items left in the room. How long do my guests have to make sleeping room reservation? When you have a wedding reception at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel your guests have until 3 weeks before your reception to book their sleeping room under your wedding block. At the 3 week cut-off date, any rooms under your wedding block not reserved will be released back into our general inventory and will be sold at the current rates.
