John is a founding partner of The Lewis Group and serves as the team’s family wealth director. He advocates client engagement and deep relationships within the group’s process as a necessary element to achieve long-term goals. John provides a consistent review process as well as extensive educational services through individual/family meetings, conference calls and events.

After graduating from Washington and Lee University with a bachelor’s degree in history, he began his career in 1986 at Central Fidelity Bank in Lynchburg. John has vast experience in the financial services industry with prior tenure at Lehman Brothers, UBS, SunTrust and Morgan Stanley. John is also very active within the Richmond community. John currently serves on the boards of The Virginia Chamber of Commerce, The Faison School for Autism, The Doorways (formerly the Hospital Hospitality House), RX Partnership, Massey Advisory Board, VMFA Charitable Advisors and the Richmond Chapter W&L Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Virginia Council of CEO’s, the Estate Planning Council of Richmond, The Focus Club and is the treasurer of Western Henrico Ducks Unlimited. He is the former president of the Richmond Chapter W&L Alumni organization, former chairman of Western Henrico Ducks Unlimited and past board member of Maymont and The Steward School and former treasurer of Douglas Freeman Lacrosse Club. John recently was awarded BB&T Scott & Stringfellow’s John Sherman Leadership Award for his commitment to community service in the Richmond area. He has also been named to the 2019 Financial Times Top 400 Advisors.

John lives in Richmond with his wife, Libby, and their two sons, Porter and Warner. He enjoys spending time at the bay, being active in his children’s lacrosse careers, and managing his family’s beef cattle farm in Augusta County.

Joe is a founding partner of The Lewis Group and serves as the lead investment strategist and portfolio manager for the team. He believes in a goals-based wealth management approach and customized investment strategies designed to manage risk and adapt to changing economic conditions and evolving personal needs.

Part of the investment and private banking industry since 1996, Joe has previous tenure at SunTrust, UBS and Morgan Stanley prior to his career at BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. His

extensive knowledge of economics and financial markets allows the team to provide comprehensive financial plans and portfolio recommendations tailored to the needs of each client and family. Joe’s community involvement includes serving as the former chair of the Alumni Advisory Board for The Longwood College of Business & Economics. He is a past board and founding member of the Richmond Giving Circle, former president of the Commonwealth Association of Financial Professionals, past president of the Foundation Board for Boaz & Ruth and prior Fundraising Committee member for the Massey Cancer Center. Joe currently serves on the BB&T Scott & Stringfellow Advisory Board as an advocate for clients, advisors and associates. He recently joined Capital & Career Accelerator’s Advisory Board as well as the Board of the VCU Foundation, where he serves on the Investment Committee. Joe received his bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in finance from Longwood University in 1996 and a master’s degree in financial economics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. Joe has obtained his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation, delivered by the Investments & Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with the Yale University School of Management.

Joe currently lives in Midlothian, Virginia, with his wife, Christina Bartholomew, Ph.D., and their three children, Abby, Jack and Tyler. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball, camping and boating at Smith Mountain Lake. In his spare time, Joe loves to hike, run, bike and has completed several marathons and triathlons.

Rick became partner of The Lewis Group in January 2016 and serves as the team client relationship manager and business development director. He began his career at BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in 2004 after completing BB&T’s prestigious Management Development Program. Rick listens to clients goals and objectives and gives thoughtful recommendations reflecting unique priorities combined with a deep understanding of financial markets.

Rick received a bachelor’s degree in analytical finance from the Wayne Calloway School of Business at Wake Forest University. He is FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 66 and variable life and annuity licensed. He has also earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. Rick served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 2004 to 2012 and received the U.S. Army Bronze Star Medal in 2008 by authorization of the president of the United States for exceptionally meritorious actions in combat. His BB&T awards include Outstanding Achievement by a Financial Advisor, Mid-Atlantic Region in 2013 and the John Sherman Leadership award in 2008 and 2013. Formally, Rick served as the chair of the Central Virginia Community Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association and has served as co-chair of BB&T Scott & Stringfellow’s CARE Committee. He serves on the BB&T Scott & Stringfellow Advisory Board as well as the S&S Educational Foundation. Rick is also the complex manager of the Tidewater region, managing the Norfolk, Newport News, Williamsburg and Virginia Beach BB&T Scott & Stringfellow offices.

Rick and his wife, Dr. Theresa Call, reside in Hanover County, Virginia, with their daughter, Sylvia. In his spare time, Rick enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, fishing, kayaking and gardening.

Kylie joined The Lewis Group in March 2014. Prior to joining the team, she was the investment operations specialist and assistant director of network office supervision at Northwestern Mutual in Richmond. Kylie assists with portfolio management by devising and implementing investment strategies and contributes to the short-

term and long-term strategic planning for clients. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and recently received an applied behavioral finance certification through the Investments & Wealth Institute. Kylie has obtained her life, health and annuity insurance licenses, as well as FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 66.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kylie graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in finance. During her time in Blacksburg, Kylie served as the treasurer for Zeta Tau Alpha and was active with the Breast Cancer Awareness and Education philanthropy. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys spending time on the river, attending barre classes and watching football – Go Steelers and Hokies!

Mickey joined The Lewis Group in February 2018. Mickey works energetically with his clients to accomplish their financial goals. He does so by pairing his clients’ individual goals with long-term investment strategies that help them achieve their objectives.

Mickey joined BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in 2016, after previously working with MassMutual Financial Group where he specialized in insurance. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses. He is health and life insurance licensed and also holds an AAMS®, Accredited Asset Management Specialist certification. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Virginia Military Institute, where he also played Division I lacrosse. Mickey is currently a head lacrosse coach for the Richmond Hawks Lacrosse program, a member of the World Pediatric Project’s Emerging Leaders Board and on the board of the Massey Alliance, a group of young professionals in Richmond who collaborate and raise money for the Massey Cancer Center at MCV.

Mickey currently lives in Richmond with his wife, Kristina. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, playing golf, coaching lacrosse and fishing.

Officially joining The Lewis Group in August 2012, Trevor previously served as the team’s intern for two summers. He assists the team with comprehensive financial planning by establishing client’s goals and evaluating the client’s current financial status, then developing the financial plan before

implementation. Trevor also helps the team with performance reporting, client relationship management and business development efforts.

Trevor graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, majoring in economics and earning a bachelor’s degree in business. He is FINRA Series 7 and 66 registered and has his life, healty and annuity insurance licenses. Trevor currently serves on the Young Philanthropy Planning Committee of The Doorways (formerly Hospital Hospitality House of Richmond), the Junior Board for the Faison School and is the assistant treasurer for Western Henrico Ducks Unlimited. In his spare time, Trevor enjoys traveling, shooting sports and competitive paintball. He is also an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast.

Lindsay joined The Lewis Group in November 2016. Lindsay has her life, health and annuity insurance licenses, and is FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 registered. Lindsay has attained her Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation. She is responsible for

directing the team’s operations projects, new client onboarding and business development initiatives. Lindsay previously worked at BB&T Securities as a margin specialist and cash management specialist. Lindsay graduated cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in history in May 2013. While at Virginia Tech, she was an active member of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Fundraising Committee. Currently, Lindsay is a member of Greater Richmond SCAN’s (Stop Child Abuse Now) Board of Young Professionals and also serves as engagement coordinator on SCAN’s Executive Committee. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys barre classes, learning to play golf and spending time with friends and family.

Rachel joined The Lewis Group in February 2018. Originally from Canada, Rachel received her bachelor’s degree with honors in French from McMaster University in 2011. She and her husband, Adam, currently reside in Bon Air, Virginia, with their dog Quincy. Rachel enjoys traveling back to Hamilton, Canada, to visit her family.

Lauren joined The Lewis Group in April 2019. She is responsible for maintaining the team’s operational needs. Lauren assists with updating client accounts, maintaining asset movement requests and supporting daily service requests. Lauren previously worked at AECOM as a payroll support specialist. A Richmond native, Lauren graduated from James

Madison University in December 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management with a double minor in business and human resources. At JMU, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and a passionate participant in their philanthropy, Blue Ridge CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Lauren enjoys traveling, listening to live music and outdoor activities, such as camping and hiking.
