requirement through Building Management System.
4. Installation of Light dimming devices to reduce light load during
day where day light available.
5. brilliancy controller on common area lighting
6. Replacement of incandescent lam with LED lamps

Area
ElectricitySuggestion For Cost Saving Saving Estimation
1 Guest rooms
Increase FCU temperatures in occupied
rooms
Vacant room lighting, mini bars, hot &
cold water to be off.
Units saved/day 900 to 1100 KWH per
floor.
2
HVAC and
Auxiliary
system
Reduced plant and cooling tower
operational hours.
Chiller Plant set at a higher set point ( 6C
to 8.5C)
Savings/ day by increasing chilled water
temperature (6C to 7/8C)
Increase the temperature in public areas
to 25 Deg Cel. With a variance 1Deg
which can save 2% of the area load
3 Cooling towersReduce the speed during low demand
time
Reduction in operating hours and HVAC
load. 1 Deg Cel increase in temperature
saves 6% in load
4 Cold rooms Switch off cold rooms and share storage
of food inventory
Each cold room power consumption is
approximately 80 KWH to 110 KWH.
5VFD for AHU
motors
Introduce variable frequency drives in all
TFA’s and AHU’s
1 hour of reduction in operation in AHUs
and TFA can save 13.30 Lacs.
6Hot water
systemHot water system.
Anticipated saving of 6% to 10% due to
set point change.

8. Waste utilization and management
In the hotel all public areas have the access to waste collection bins.
Collection bins are kept in regular intervals along the main streets.
Inorganic waste is taken away by the municipal waste collection van.
Apart of the organic waste which collected from places other than
Mess and canteen areas are treated onsite.
Hazardous waste is generated from machinery, DG set, lights,
Batteries etc. which separately collected and stored at dedicated E-
waste room.
All the Wet & Dry waste generated from the project premises treated
using organic waste converter technology. The compost generated
from the Organic Waste Technology reused as manure in the
landscape area.

10. Green Supply Chain Management
To reduce the exposure of occupants and maintenance personnel to
potentially hazardous chemicals, biological and particulate contaminants
which adversely affect air quality, human health, building finishes, building
systems and the environment.
Leela has created its Green Cleaning Policy. Leela aims to progressively
move towards 100% sustainable cleaning procedures and
products/equipment.
The operations team and procurement manager have made an inventory of
cleaning products and materials currently used in the building including hand
soaps, hand sanitizers, janitorial paper products and have consulted with
product suppliers to assess credit-compliant products.
The purchases of all cleaning products and materials will be tracked during
the performance period. If required, Candor will source additional cleaning
products that meet sustainability criteria.

11. Teamwork, Employee Involvement & Monitoring
1. Online monitoring of Energy & water consumption
