All in all, every group had fun being able toerve in the community in which they live.

Other service events took place throughouthe week. Habitat for Humanity hosted apost-chapel mixer, giving away deliciousowls of ice cream. The group also offered

ree pizza and soda in theCSU less than a

week later as anffort to get sev-

    ral people inter-sted in becoming

    part of the newee University

hapter of Habitat. Many studentsigned up and eveneceived free t-hirts after doing so.

Habitat for Human-y also gave awayifty dollars to one p e r-on who could explain a bit about the groupn front of thevcrowd.

    Dana Williamseac-

epted the challengend was awarded the

    prize money byKrystle Pennington.

Missions weekmade the studentnion just a bit

    more crowded allweek, but for goodause. Missionar-es set up boothsn d t a b l e s

    hroughout theecond floor toepresent them-

elves and their organizations. Lit-rature was distributed to interested studentsnd representatives were often on hand tonswer questions or tell stories about treks tooreign lands.

The event had been set up so that studentscould gather signatures from each person atthe tables they stopped at and, once the cardwas filled with names, it could be droppedinto a box for the iPod drawing.

Acting on Aids and the International JusticeMission were also veryactive on campus, show-ing relative films andasking questions that

would enhance knowl-edge on their missions.

The week was a wonder-ful success, drivingmany Lee students to become more interestedin protecting and en-hancing the lives ofothers with the salvationof Jesus Christ, our

savior. Students became moreactive on a number of levels and realizedhow much care and love the world needs

    today.

The hope oft h e L e eadminis t ra -tion is thatlong after the

booths aredeconstructedand the servicehours are nolonger there, the studentswho attendedLee this yearwill strive toreach the worldin many moreways many more

times. This week was a realization of theneed and the hunger that the world holds andonly through Christs love can it be fulfilled.

We asked seventy-five regular Lee students what their average weekly bed time was. The informal poll was conducted on cus, gathering responses from the Paul Conn Student Union, Alumni Park, the Pedestrian Mall, and the Deacon Jones Dining HThe results, pictured in a graph below, found that 1:00AM and 2:30AM were the most popular bed times among students.proximately one out of seven Lee students gets to bed before or at midnight and one out of seven gets to bed at or follo:00AM. The majority of students hit the sack between the chimes of 12:30 and 2:30.

The trolly is a symbol of American culture and represents all good

things Lee has to offer. In this Facebook group, students complain

about how they have never before taken the trolly. Other students

praise the form of transportation, thankful they had an easy way to

get from place to place while on crutches or late for a class. This

group is the shrine to the Lee University trolly, for without trolly,

    the people perish.

This cross is not ruggedthat rises 80 feet over the highwayin smooth white metal panels, stark against a sky of slateand a shade of nursery blue.

Mile marker 1/3 the wayhome to university, homewhere nothing looks like favorite toys,

nothing tastes like Moms meals, nothing smells like the quiltIve curled tight with so long.

So long, and Ill trade youfor PowerPoint lectures andprofessors with corduroy and briefcases.Ill trade you for mac & cheesein the dining hall that tastes like plastic.Ill trade you for the smell ofmarkers that squeak on whiteboards.

But when I drive back to what I leftfor plastic mac, formarkers and dreams, Ill seethe smooth white metal crossreminding me where I come from.

    Hand in hand,

    Heart to heart

    You will not leave me,

    You simply can't hurt.

    Light me with purity,

    Illuminate me with love,

    awesome and beautiful,

All that is in you is good.Died for us, paid sacrifice,

    you save me with mercy,

    you bore me new life.

    The Yellow Girl

    -Oliver Williams-

    A while ago,

    when all was calm,

    and storms were far away,

    the moon would freeze,

    above the trees,

    discontent without the day.

    But now the moon,

a silver dot, that shines from the night sky,

    will always stop

    upon the top,

    letting out a somber cry.

Mourning for the one that left,

    the one who went away,

the moon will not turn red at all,

    singing out its solemn call,

the moon will not forget its course,

rushing like a speeding horse, the moon will once again slide down,

    falling from the sky,

until it comes without a frown,

rising in the east to fly.

The moon will never see the sun,

and never has since it begun

to fly around a piece of rock,

where time is found within a clock,

where men create such worthless things

where birds are found with injured winwhere in a world of scorn and hate,

love is not allowed to wait.

    A while from now,

    when all is calm,

    and storms are far away,

    the moon will freeze,

    above the trees,

as if content without the day.

Mid-terms are over and Spring Break is just peaking it'sttle head over the horizon. What a glorious sound rising forth---nores of sleep! Allow God to refresh you butlso begin a new thing in your heart. To staytagnant in any relationship is the highest form ofeglect and this especially applies to the One

Who Seeks the very core of our souls. Many of

s started this year with the infamous "New YearResolutions" we always make but know wearely keep. God has been challenging me to lookeep into my own heart and begin new "heart"esolutions for Him to be lived out during the restf the semester.

This is not about rules or regulations because I am a sinfuluman who fails; this is about my Love attitude toward God andthers. The Lord can and will do a new work in our lives if we al-ow Him to do so. Ezekiel 36:26,27 says: "And I will give you aew heart-I will give you new and right desires- and put a newpirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and giveou new hearts of love. And I will put my Spirit within you so thatou will obey my laws and do whatever I command." Christ wants

to place His indelible imprints in our hearts because He is so fullove for us. We must allow this ultimate love to capture our hearand He will fill it to overflowingfor others. For, "How great is the love the Father has lavished onthat we should be called children of God. For that is what we ar(1 John 3:1,2) Imagine a time when we are in love with God so

much that we live for a plan bigger than our-selves. I don't know anyone who intheir heart of hearts doesn't want to live in a bger adventure than they themselves could evemanufacture or create. Guess what? This is

what He created us for! I just encourage you allow His love to permeate your very soul thi

break and to push through the challengesto meet Him for your grand adventure that Heawaiting to journey with you. One thing I kno

beyond a shadow of a doubt...He is worth it ANow, "May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father...comfort strengthen your hearts in every good work and word."

Have an awesome,God-filled Spring Break! :)
