INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF FUNDRAISING (ISF)
Wellington College: Crowthorne, Berkshire, United Kingdom
March 24-28, 2009
“Please send my thanks also to Mr. Blackwell for his great vision for LI! LI can truly help to
improve the societies! Especially, in conservative east-European post-communistic countries exists a
great demand for all those skills that LI can provide! Thank you – and all involved at The Leadership
Institute – for the recent ISF event at Wellington College. I found it immensely useful and am already
implementing major practical changes to our fundraising strategy as a result of information I learnt at
the ISF event. I thought that the quality of speakers was generally excellent – especially some of the
American speakers in the advanced sessions. I particularly appreciated the way in which we were
given practical examples of successful practice from leaders in their field, who had “done the
business.”Simon Richards, Director, The Freedom Association, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.”
“There have been two LI ISF in history and I’ve had the privilege to be at both of them. They were
both well worth it. This is why. I could spend months and months reading various marketing books
and fundraising manuals before I would acquire the same level of know-how that I have after 4 days
with the Leadership Institute. It is unbelievable how much practical knowledge can be communicated
in such a short time. I’m sure it is mainly due to the incredible presentation and teaching skills of
most of the speakers. Although we were listening to lectures from 9am to 9pm with short
‘interruptions’ for lunch and dinner, I never fell asleep or felt bored. In fact, I took about 20 typed
pages of notes.” Martin Luteran, The Ladislav Hanus Fellowship, Slovakia
6
The Hon. Amos Makalla, Secretary of the National Executive Committee of the governing party
in Tanzania stated: “I take this opportunity to thank Mr. Morton for taking all initiatives to organize
a wonderful ISF in England. I want to thank you in your capacity as international coordinator for a
tireless effort to make the seminar successful. I thank the teachers and our host Wellington College
for their hospitality during the seminar. I found the ISF was very educative. I am convinced to say
that The leadership Institute is the best institute to train leaders. For those who want to be successful
in leadership just go to leadership institute. Thank you so much.”
“I want to express my most sincere congratulations for holding this fundraising seminar in Europe,
with such high-level speakers who were so willing to help. Thank you for thinking of the world (not
just North America) since an organization like the Leadership Institute can do a lot of good for
society in all parts of the world. I was also glad to have met so many other people from a diverse
group of countries but with common interests and beliefs.” Fernando J. Marcos, Madrid, Spain.
“I have to thank you and of course the Leadership Institute for this fantastic opportunity to participate
in the Fundraising school in UK. It is unbelievable how much useful information I was able to
acquire during those beautiful 4 days in Wellington Collage. After this training I'm truly able to
recognize in Slovakia a whole new dimension of opportunities how to make our society a better one -
and more important - now I know the techniques how to do that!!” Robert Mateffy, Director, The
Institute of Leo XIII, Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

Bruce Eberle, President and CEO of Bruce W. Eberle and Fundraising Strategies Inc. said: “I
enjoyed the opportunity to participate in your fine conference. It was inspiring to meet so many fine
conservatives from around the globe. You did an excellent job of organizing and running the event.
Congratulations.”
“I am writing to thank you, once again, for the wonderful experience with the ISF at Wellington
College. I am very grateful for having been able to participate in such an excellent event. On the one
hand, the organizing team did a wonderful job and I believe we can all say we had a great time in
England. On the other hand, the lectures were very enriching and inspiring. I learned a lot from the
experiences of the speakers, as well as from their enthusiasm, and I am positive that I will be able to
turn all this knowledge into great projects for my organization in Romania. All in all, it was a highly
successful event and I hope it will be repeated in the years to come.
Irina Papuc, Romania”
“Thank you so much once more for that fantastic week at Wellington College. I learnt a lot and met
great people, a priceless asset. Thanks very much in advance, hope you are well and got back home
safely.” Dr. Sophie Henckel von Donnersmarck, Germany
