With the financial year recently ended and group certificates being issued, what was your share of thecommissions brought into the office? Does the amount you received truly represent the level of time, energy, effort and $$$ you specifically brought to the agency? Are you earning enough? More than enough? If not, perhaps this might be a good time to consider alternatives…

Hi,and welcome to our second edition of Profile Updates – the feedback was so fantastic from the last one that we’vedecided to do it again! You’re personally receiving this, because we recognise you as an effective sales professional inthe Brisbane area and we’d love to meet with you to explore the benefits of working with our highly successful team.Every single one of our 16 independently successful agents will passionately vouch that teaming up with Profile was theirbest career move yet and now it could be yours too…

Because we’re all busy, hard-working people, we understand that it’s unrealistic to expect you to get to know how ourbusiness operates overnight. So in this newsletter we hope to be able to go beneath the surface and share a little morespecific information about what exactly it is that makes RE/MAX Profile so special.

Let’s start at the hip pocket - have you ever taken the time to truly consider howmuch of your hard-earned commission YOU GIVE AWAY FOR NOTHING?

Before you even begin to worry about desk fees, consider how much your currentseat is costing you...that's right, you are currently losing on average 50-55% ofevery sale. So even if you only sell one $300,000 property per month, you arecurrently losing $4,372.

If you make two sales per month at $300,000 you are currently losing $8,745. If you are making a sale per week at$300,000 YOU ARE LOSING $17,490 EVERY MONTH!!! You do the sums for yourself!

At RE/MAX Profile your average monthly costs are between $1,900 and $3,200 including desk fees, and YOU GET TOKEEP 92% OF EVERY SALE! (Please contact us for a copy of the commission calculator to do a full comparison foryou.) We know that it is critical that it works for you, and we will make sure YOU ARE FINANCIALLY BETTER OFF!!!

To anyone considering a move to RE/MAX Profile:

If you want to run your own business without the huge overheads that go with it, if you want to earn what you

deserve and work in a friendly and supportive environment, and if you want to work for a truly brilliant

company that provides constant inspiration and development then look no further.

Before coming to RE/MAX Profile I was earning a great living working in an office that was fairly anti-auction.

I very much wanted to offer my clients what I thought would be best for their property and thus knew that

although I was comfortable, in order to grow further and have a full service business - I had to make a move.

One day, I received a call from Christina and shortly after we met up for a coffee. I had told her on the phone

that I wasn’t interested in making a move but that I would meet with her to hear what she had to say. By the

end of the meeting with her, I knew I was going to her office. My head started spinning, mostly with excitement.

I turned to a trusted colleague of mine who has been in the industry for over

30 years and asked for her advice on

whether Grant and Christina would be the right people to help me achieve what I wanted in my career. Her

advice was that Grant Penrose is an extraordinary auctioneer and agent and t

hat both he and Christina have

had, and still are having a tremendous amount of success. She also said that both are always available for their

team and that they would be the types of principals that will care enough to see their people g

row. Long story

short, since joining I have doubled my income and even finished #1 in Australia for sales one month within

RE/MAX Australia. There is no doubt that Grant and Christina’s availability and advice ha

s played a strong

part in my success. I am looking forward to further growth with them.Warm regards, Adam Nobel

Feature AGENT

Q & A with STEPHEN PAHL

Q: You are consistently selling at least 5 properties a month and yourincome has skyrocketed, which is awesome – what do you think hascontributed the most to your success?

Paying attention to the ‘pipeline’ and strict daily management and equity of the prospecting, listing, and sellingprocesses. I work with the market, not against it, and provide potential vendors with both the good news and thebad news up front. If a listing is not viable, I advise the vendor to stay off market. Meticulous follow up on all leadsand I maintain an ethic of same day response to all vendor contacts for appraisals and advice. My farm area is a‘farm’. I pluck out the weeds and nurture, nourish and cultivate my turf.

Q: What do you like best about working with RE/MAX Profile?

The overall environment at RE/MAX Profile is most of all personalised and caring. The team is empowered toachieve by very positive dynamics of autonomy but at the same time supported with a magnificent office supportenvironment, regular training opportunities, and the knowledge that Christina or Grant’s advice, knowledge andsupport is only a phone call away or a tap on the office door. Even better, the team comprises high achievers whoshare a strong common goal and direction, supported by a best practice, high tech compliance environment andsystems.

Q: Profile’s technology is all web based. How does that assist you in your business?

Sales volume brings success, but it also brings with it administrative challenges. My systems include a web basedcentralised customer management system that manages my entire database, listings, and communications needs. This system is able to integrate with RE/MAX Profile’s and can be accessed anywhere through my mobile IPad orIPhone, or in the office. Regular communications can be systemised and pre-set in the system for simplicity andspeed. I also have the option to use a range of high powered subscriptions to industry support tools and researchdata.

Q: You have taken up the option to work from home or offsite. How has this benefited your business?

A very hard decision for me to make was whether to be head office based or avail myself of the RE/MAX ‘hot desk’option. I chose to be based within my farm area to optimise my time efficiency, reduce travel time, increase myability to respond to my clients in my farm area, and spend more quality time with my family. However I maintainclose connections with the main office through attending optional weekly sales meetings and training sessions, and also the opportunity to personally catch up with the sales manager or principal if I wish to.

Q: Any comments to share with people considering joining the Profile Team?

Our broader industry is in some areas prone to a ‘use and abuse’ syndrome where the ability to grow and developis limited or controlled, and in many cases not respected. The greatest element I treasure in being associated withthe RE/MAX Profile team is the overall genuineness, sincerity and real care, interest and commitment of Christinaand Grant in facilitating the growth, success and happiness of their team.

Thepeople who work at RE/MAX Profile are such a diverse bunch but there is great team camaraderie inthe office while as real estate agents, it is really every person for themselves.
