Communion

All baptized Christians who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to receive Holy Communion in this church. All who do not wish to receive are still welcome to come forward to the altar rail. You may cross your arms across your chest as an indication you do not wish to receive, and a prayer of blessing will be offered for you instead. Gluten-free wafers are available. If you would like to receive a gluten-free wafer, simply ask the priest when he comes to you at the communion rail. Additional prayer is offered by our Altarside Prayer Team on either side of the altar, if you are in need of specific prayer, they would be happy to pray with you after you have received communion.

Communion Music Taste and See Words and music by Greg Stump

You alone are worthy of delight I don’t know why I look to other things

To satisfy the longing in my heart I need your love, to receive your love

All you gave up to forgive us

We receive it, we believe in you

Taste and see the Lord is wholly good His blood like wine, his body is true food

Break the bread, abide within his love Take the cup, take the blood he offered up

All you’ve given we will take in

To remember, to proclaim Till you come back again

All I Have is Christ Jordan Kauflin; CCLI: 5174122

I once was lost in darkest night Yet thought I knew the way

The sin that promised joy and life Had led me to the grave

I had no hope that You would own A rebel to Your will

And if You had not loved me first I would refuse You still

But as I ran my hell-bound race

Indifferent to the cost You looked upon my helpless state

And led me to the cross And I beheld God’s love displayed

You suffered in my place You bore the wrath reserved for me

Now all I know is grace

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone

And live so all might see The strength to follow Your commands

Could never come from me Oh Father, use my ransomed life

In any way You choose And let my song forever be

My only boast is You Post Communion Prayer and Blessing BCP p. 137 Recessional Hymn Alleluia! sing to Jesus! Hymnal 460 Dismissal Celebrant: Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Worship Schedule Change Effective March 1 Beginning on March 1, we will combine the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services into one service at 9:00 a.m., utilizing the worship teams and clergy from both services. Our new Sunday Worship Schedule will be as follows: Worship Service: 9:00 a.m. Fellowship Time: 10:15 a.m. Education Hour: 10:30 a.m. Newcomers’ Gathering We love those who are new to Christ Church Anglican! Seriously, you are God’s blessing to us. A newcomer is someone who has been with us for one week or two years, who has not already been to a newcomer gathering. If you are new to CCA, please plan to join us on Sunday, March 1, 4:00-6:00 p.m., for a gathering at the home of Beth and Grant Weicht. This is a great opportunity to meet other newcomers as well as some vestry members. Fr. Matt will briefly explain the history of CCA and the Anglican Church and will discuss our life and ministry at Christ Church. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Cheryl in our church office at [email protected]. The Story Of Us: The Exodus – A 40-Day Devotional “The Story Of Us: The Exodus,” the latest devotional by Dr. Tim Smith, is available in the Narthex and Parish Hall. This 40-day devotional reflects on the Bible’s story of the Exodus as your story, in which you will see how God leads his people from the bondage of Egypt, through a Wilderness, and into the Promised Land. The Exodus is more than a great story of something God once did long ago, but a story of how God always goes about redeeming and transforming lives. The Exodus is the story of us! Online eVotionals can also be found on the Water from Rock website: www.waterfromrock.org An Invitation to a Holy Lent Have you decided yet what you’re going to give up for Lent? What if you added something instead, like a new spiritual practice? And what if you had a small group of people to join you in the holy experiment? Starting the first Monday in Lent, March 2, and continuing five more weeks through Holy Week, one such group will meet together in The Quiet Room on Northern Avenue. Facilitated by Karalee Romaneski, each meeting will last precisely one hour, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. For more details or to express interest, please email [email protected]. Lent Taize Mid-week Taize services will resume during Lent. Please consider joining us for a time of prayer and corporate singing each Tuesday night during the month of March. Further details to come!
