Mother Daughter Speak: Lessons on Life is a book co-written by Rev. Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim and her teenage
daughter Elisabeth Sophia Lee. Mother-daughter relationships can be won-derful and powerful. They can also be stressful, challenging, and painful; yet they are often delicate and tender. After losing her own mother, Kim shares that strengthening her own mother-daughter relationship became more im-portant than ever. Even through tumultuous times, mother-daughter relationships sustain us and keep us connected. Kim’s and Lee’s personal reflections in this book from family, to real-life challenges, to faith, are attempts to open the dialogue between family members and com-munities. They share some of their vulnerabilities and pains in hopes that this kind of sharing will encourage others to engage in similar intimate dialogue. The book is available on Amazon,
Easter Candy Sale: The results from this sale were impressive. We netted $730.80 from the sale for the church coffers. We would like to thank all of you who ordered from us. If we are up to the challenge, we may repeat the Christmas sale.
Work Day Saturday, May 5, 2018: For a minor clean-up of the landscap-ing. Please meet at the church at 9 AM on Saturday, May 5 and work together to make our church look it’s very best. The fire hall volunteers will be assisting with this clean-up. So, put on your work gloves and give us a hand----the more help we get the less work everyone has to do! For more info talk with John Faisetty. You may RSVP on Facebook. Go to https:wwwfacebook.com/events/224319714989527/
