What are the major components of the project?

1. A student designed and constructed, self-sufficient habitat used to house student astronauts for at least 40 hours

2. A student designed and operated mission control

3. A mission scenario and schedule

4. Student, school, and community tours

5. A private, catered premiere before the mission begins

6. An overnight space camp before the mission

7. Theme related lessons and hands-on learning stations before and during the mission

Why do we do this?

1. To provide students with an opportunity to develop leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills (to learn)

2. To provide students with an opportunity to work cooperatively with other students of varying abilities and talents (to make friends)

3. To provide students with an opportunity to use their skills and talents in a multifaceted project (to experience success)

How do we do this?

3. Flexibility (modify and adjust to the talents of students)

1. It’s multi-disciplinary (we want everyone involved)

What do we plan to do this year?

1. Get lots of outside help

2. Keep going (we will continue to grow in years to come)

3. Get every person who wants to be involved, INVOLVED!
