The Great Kremlin Palace was one of the most massive constructions in Moscow.

It was built in 1849 to symbolize the new Moscow, but old structures of the Kremlin also remained untouched.

The Great Kremlin Palace is also connected with the Terem Palace and the Hall of the Facets

The Hall of Facets.

Beautiful paintings and golden decorations.

This pillar in the center of the Palace supports the ceiling.

The Faceted palace is a special place. Many great events took place inside these walls. Here they celebrated the coronation of Alexander III, seizure of Kazan in 1552, boyards' meetings were held here too.

Look, at the lower part of the walls - it's not a cloth but real paintings.

We leave the Faceted Palace, go through the Saint Hall to come to the Vladimir Hall.

The Hall is posh and beautiful. It connects the staterooms of the Great Kremlin Palace, the Faceted Palace and the old Terem Palace.

The Hall is named in honor of the Order of Saint Vladimir

The staircase leads to the Terem Palace.

The doors that lead to the St. George's Hall have the same shape as the windows on the building facades.

The St. George's Hall is the most posh and beautiful.

St George's Hall does not have so many gilded elements as other halls. The main color is white.

The parquet is splendid, many kinds of precious wood was used to make it.

They do not allow visitors to walk on the parquet.

In the mid 90s they decided to restore the Hall and bring the original interior back. The works were done from 1994 to 1998. In fact what you see now are replicas of authentic interiors.

The Hall of St. Andrew once served as a throne room in the Kremlin Palace.

Various emblems on these posh doors.

Walls are decorated to match the color of the Order of St. Andrew - blue.

Emblems of Russian provinces along the perimeter.

Gilded stucco.

The Order of St. Andrew is the only one completed by the chain.

Curtains made from ermine which is ... not real. The thrones are replicas as well, real ones are kept in the Armory Chamber.
