APPROVED: Christmas comes early for the Knitters The future looks bright for the Leicester Road Football Club with continuous devel-opments occurring around the club, with many goals having been set to continue to offer the highest possible football outside of league football to the local commu-nity.

Our latest goal to be achieved is the approval of the clubhouse extension. Plans to extend the existing clubhouse at Leicester Road Stadium was approved during a meeting of the HBBC Planning Committee on 22nd December 2015.. Key features of the extension will include ;

NEW CLUB STAFF WANTED At Leicester Road Football Club a lot of effort goes into brining the highest possible quality we can offer to our players. Our fantastic staff commit a lot of their time to support the clubs development, in both coaching and stadium sup-port capacities, to maintain and support the continued growth of the club and to maximize the quali-ty on offer by the club.

As part of our developments and preparations for 2016/17 season and onwards, we’re seeking to increase the number of staff sup-porting the clubs development, to further improve the quality. If you feel you maybe able to give some time to support the club. Please get in touch, by contacting one of our clubs current staff .

LRFC Parents watch on as LRFC U14s players look to regain possession

Join the Team: Parents wanted for Club Committee As a club we recognize and value the thoughts and opinions of parents when it comes to their child's development. We understand parents want their thoughts and opinions to the be heard. At Leicester Road Football Club, as part of our development goals, we’re looking to recruit parents to come and be a part of our clubs Parents Committee.

The Parents committee will be a focus group of parents and club staff, working together to help maximize the development of our clubs young players. We want your vision of what you would like to see offered at the club, as well as gaining your collective feedback and views on how you think the club is doing. It will also give us an opportunity to offer you more of an insight to the plans of the club as we continue our growth.

FUTURES BRIGHT: CLUB ASSIGNS NEW STAFF In 2015 the club recruited 3 new staff members to join the clubs Schoolboy Devel-opment programme, in both leading and supporting roles. The staff recruited bring a wealth of experience with them to support the development of the clubs younger players.

Andy Smith comes to the club from Leicester City Women in a multi role capacity, to take on a joint role of Assistant Head of Football and multi-roles a Head of Academy Goalkeeping and Reserve Team Manager. A UEFA B Goalkeeper coach, Andy brings a wealth of experience to the clubs young aspiring goalkeep-ers.

Jo Sjoberg also coming to the club from Leicester City Women, to which she held the role of Sports Therapist, nurturing the recovery of the clubs first team players. Jo comes in as the new Academy physiotherapist. Jo brings with her a wealth of knowledge in and around sports injuries and rehabilitation.

James Smith joins the club in a multi-role capacity of joint Assistant Head of Foot-ball, Youth Team Manager, U16s Manager and Head of Sports Science. Recent Sports Science & Business graduate and current Sports Coaching Masters stu-dent of Loughborough University brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club. With previous non-league senior team coaching experience and coach-ing & talent identification experience with varying professional football clubs.
