Here at Ss Peter & Paul and St Lawrence, we see ourselves as part of your family. This Catholic Community is committed to loving you and your family as you are. We are also committed to raising happy and healthy children with you who have a relationship with God.

Program Components and Expectations Like in any relationship, there are expectations that family members have for one another. Having clear expectations is the key to having a healthy relationship with one another. These will also help us educate children more effectively, joyfully, and lovingly in the faith. Below are what we expect from you, the parent:

You know, it’s really easy for all of us to get caught up in the things WE want to do. Don’t get me wrong, doing stuff you want to do isn’t a bad thing. Not at all. But when we see someone in need, sometimes the greatest act of love we can show someone else is setting aside whatever plans we had in order to help those around us. It’s what Jesus did. He’s the ultimate example of this kind of love. I mean, He was God’s perfect Son, and He had all authority on earth and heaven given to Him. But when it came down to giving up His life to save ours, He chose our lives over His own. Now, that plays out in all kinds of

Mission PossibleOver the course of the Family Assemblies, we will have our puppets go home with some children who can show us how to practice the virtue for that week. Children and their parents ought to take pictures withthem and the puppet when they are practicing the certain virtue, and this time that virtue is JOY. Next time, we will show some of thephotos and some ideas that the family has presented us with on how we can practice being friendly in our everyday lives.

Amanda Alyse ThomasAmanda is excited to be on the Drama Ministry Team! She's originally from Northeast PA and holds a BA in Musical Theatre from Wilkes University. She first began singing and acting in her own home church, often singing for the congregation and performing in the Christmas Pageants. Now, Amanda lives in NYC and is persuing a theatre career.

Amanda Rose Antonucci I love working at the Family Assemblies because it's a way for me to combine two of my passions, acting and spreading God's word. It's such a pleasure to bring the joy of Christ to anyone, but especially to children. My favorite moment at the family assembly was when I told the story from Matthew 19 about how children are so precious and that the kingdom of God belongs to them. The Family Faith Formation program is so rewarding and a lot of fun!

Emma CoppEmma is a Cradle Catholic with a passion for kids and performing, so Faith Formation is pretty much her ideal Sunday morning! She is so grateful to be welcomed by the families of the community and has had a blast being silly with you all.

Janelle SteinMy mission is to educate and empower others through the performing arts. I aspire to be the type of actor that makes a positive difference in someone's life. I enjoy being a part of the Family Formation Team because it gives me a chance to do that with the children of Ss Peter & Paul and St Lawrence. It's my way of giving back. I would like to thank the team, families and children for being so supportive! I hope we bring smiles and light to your Sunday mornings.

Stephanie Turci, Dana Bernardi, Izzy FigueroaAfter being a part of the NEW Faith Formation preview "Under God's Sea" last May, we were excited to see what the Fall would bring -- and, honestly, it's just a blast! To see the rooms fill up with children and families week after week, is so fabulous. And, honestly, although we're there to teach the Catholic faith and positively impact the community... we're receiving so much in return as well!

We all feel incredibly blessed and lucky to work with all of the families and children at Ss Peter and Paul and St Lawrence. We have been so welcomed and look forward to being there with all of you week after week! Working in Drama Ministry, our whole team has become like a little family. We didn't all know each other prior, but we've grown to be great friends and enjoy the time we get to spend together giving back to the community. We recognize that we're doing something really unique and special. Each of us brings our individuals gifts and talents to make it happen.

We can hardly believe that we're already on our fifth session - YUP - about half way through our program for the year. Since September, we've taken a journey through Welcome, Friendship, Courage, Thankfulness, and now JOY! Can't wait to show you what the New Year will bring! See you there!

Family Assembly Recap:

Hello from the Klatt family! Brian and I joined Saints Peter and Paul in 2008 shortly after getting married and enjoyed attending the young adult mass on Sunday evenings . Over the years we have seen a few different pastors come and go, but they have all shared similar traits of being very welcoming to any and all

The Klatt Family

And remember, as our PARISH PILLAR, we are aiming 4 AGAPE LOVE which is unconditional, everlasting, freely given, without expectation, is love in action and based on our obedience to God! A Sacrament between two people who express love for each other is called HOLY MATRIMONY.

So, parents and kids, this week at dinner or before you go to bed, remember to take a moment to share your stories and actions of LOVE with one another.

ways in our own lives, like letting your brother have the second helping of spaghetti you really want or giving up some of your own allowance to help buy someone else a lunch. Sometimes it means sacrificing that time you set aside to watch your favorite sport to go help a friend move into a new house instead. But because Jesus showed us the lengths He was willing to go to love us, we should try and do the same for others.

who want to worship. As we welcomed our children, Madeline (8) and Justin (6) we made the switch to attending the Sunday 9:00 AM children's mass. We love the level of energy and excitement which is brought to this mass between the music and the kids homilies, where our kids are excited to go to mass each week. 2017/2018 has been a busy year for the Klatts, our daughter Madeline begins her preparation for first holy communion, Brian and I have joined the RCIA program to complete our sacraments, and Justin participates in the faith formation program. We have moved out of Hoboken but still come back to Ss Peter and Paul as we have not found the same sense of openness, community and dedication to kids as we have here.
