How is Satan fighting you? How are you actively defending yourself?

Your Thoughts

Think about it:

Satan does not fight on his own. He has a

powerful, well organized empire.

Think About it:

The most dangerous thing is that which resembles the truth

but is not truth.

The Ruler Satan is the ruler of this kingdom. Lucifer is his angelic name. He was a powerful angel cast out of heaven because iniquity was found in him and one-third of the angels followed him. He is a real personality. The Bible speaks of Satan as a person not just an evil influence. The Bible refers to him as: the god of this world (II Cor. 4:4), prince of the power of the air (Eph. 2:2), prince of this world (Jn. 12:31), great dragon, old serpent, Devil, and Satan which deceiveth the whole world (Rev. 12:9). Revelation 2:13 reveals that Satan has a seat on earth or a specific location that he resides. I Peter 5:8-9 and John 10:10 reveal to us his goal on this earth.

These are high ranking, governing authorities who fall under Satan’s control and command. These would be princes or chiefs over a multitude of other workers. Read Daniel 10:13. Some of these principalities would be the powerful rulers of nations and people.

These powers are beings or demons that wield power and authority delegated by Satan. God is omniscient and omnipresent which means He is all-knowing and present everywhere all of the time. Satan does not have these qualities. He is confined to be in one place at one time and does not have the capability to know everything. He makes up for the lack of qualities through organization of evil spirits all over the world. Their job is to gather info, influence events, implement Satan’s schemes, cause spiritual blindness, and to deceive.

“Having Done All to Stand” Lesson 3

This speaks of the many demons that enslave people to the vices of sin. Satan desires to steal, kill, and destroy. The wages of sin is death. Sin appears pleasurable at first. The flesh likes sin and what it offers, but the end is sudden death (Proverbs 16:25). We see the product of this in the many sexual sins that are all around us. Adultery, rape, chi ld predators , pornography, and pre-marital sex are just a few. Drug addiction, alcohol use, suicide, and mental illness are all outcomes of these demons enslaving. Read Mark 5:1-9 and 9:14-27. Look at what these demons caused these people to do. We would label it as mental illness, seizures, drug addiction, and suicide attempts. This still happens today! Flesh and blood are not the enemy. The Supreme court, drug addicts, murderers, and atheists are not what we are actually fighting against. These are just the outcomes of the spiritual battle that is being fought.

The Powers

These rulers are spiritual beings and physical rulers over the darkness that is in our world. Their supreme task is to blind people from the truth and the Gospel. Read II Cor. 4:3-4. What is Satan’s master plan? Deception! It is his number one weapon. He has invented every false religion, philosophy, theory, and idea in this world. Think of all the false religions of the world. Think of idolatry, communism, evolution, and humanism. All these are devised to deceive and confuse people from believing the truth. The Spiritual Wickedness in High Places
