What did you particularly enjoy about yourstudies/time here? The Consultancy Week gives students anopportunity to apply what they have learnt onthe course in a real business setting. It was reallychallenging and tested whether or not I coulddemonstrate the skills I had learnt to companiesoutside of Kent Business School. It taught me alot, mainly through working hard with my fellowstudents and meeting enterprises face-to-face.I really enjoyed the experience.

I also enjoyed socialising with fellow students aftera period of intensive coursework, presentations orexams.

Which modules did you enjoy the most, and why? From the business and management perspective,I found that every module linked to another in someway. There were several connect-the-dots situationsin every module, which reflected my previousworking experience and I enjoyed figuring themout every time. In that sense, I particularly enjoyedIntroduction to Strategic Management andContemporary Issues in Strategic Management.

What about the teaching? The teaching was professional and the academicsare very friendly and open-minded, so it was easyto talk to them.

What does doing a further degree give youthat a first degree does not?I found that I had the time to really focus on thesubject. Doing a further degree after a periodin the workplace helped me to link academicknowledge, such as theories and businessframeworks, to the real business world. It gaveme a clearer picture of how I can make use ofwhat I have learnt in a business setting.

How did your course lay the foundationsfor your chosen career path?It gave me an opportunity to expand the scopeand scale of my previous career experience andenabled me to access the global business scenethrough learning about case studies involving largemultinational enterprises.
