We hosted a full house of racing enthusiasts at our No Nonsense Virtual Cheltenham Racing Day. Guests enjoyed onsite betting and our indoor beer garden for this twist on the traditional Cheltenham event. Everyone really got into the spirit of things and we look forward to hosting many more events like these!

VIRTUAL CHELTENHAM RACING DAY

Our Wedding Fair spectacular saw hundreds of brides to be and their families visit the Stadium. They were treated to an impressive display of wedding ideas from dresses and table dressings to photographers, favours and transport options. The highlight of the day was our catwalk show which saw an amazing array of beautiful wedding dresses and outfits on show.

For our annual Partners Forum in association with Revell Ward we were delighted to welcome England National Rugby League Team Head Coach, Steve McNamara as our guest speaker. A former international player, Steve provided a mesmerising account of his professional playing career and his role as Coach to the England Squad. He then participated in a question and answer session and met guests over lunch.

The annual event honoured people in our town who have made a difference to the place we live by going above and beyond. We always knew Huddersfield was a wonderful place to live and work and is well renowned for its kindness and friendliness. The Awards never cease to inspire us. The lengths people will go to, in support of charities, carrying out vital community work, and show immense kindness to others, is truly inspirational.

Congratulations to everyone who successfully completed this year’s Kirkwood Hospice Midnight Memory Walk. The walkers raised vital funds for the hospice which provides specialist care, free of charge to adults in Kirklees with advanced, progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life. Since its launch, The Midnight Memory Walk has raised in excess of £430,000.

Earlier in the year we held the first Niko fight night at the stadium. The night was a great success with the main event: Paul Birkhead Vs Peter Brooke attracting a strong crowd. We are now looking forward to hosting the second Niko fight night in October.
