Dear JCCA,
Happy Holidays. On December 4, JCCA had a great Holiday party
at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Delicious meal and an opportunity to
socialize and become acquainted with the host hotel for the 2016
JCNA Annual General Meeting (AGM), and JCNA International Jaguar Festival.
Election for JCCA Officers for 2016: At our November meeting the floor was opened for
club officer nominations for 2016. As none of the incumbents were opposed the current club
officers will remain in their positions through 2016. This will insure continuity with the
2016 JCNA AGM and JCNA IJF. Congratulations to Rosemary, Joe, Mike, Rigo, and Marj, I
look forward to working with all of you to make the JCCA a great car club.
Rally/Tour Test Drive: On Saturday, November 21, Rosemary Price, “Rally Master” lead a
group of us on the IJF Rally course from the Scottsdale Plaza Resort to Bartlett Lake.
Consensus is the 110 mile course will provide an enjoyable and challenging drive. A new
restaurant will soon open at Bartlett Lake which is where the Rally / Tour participants will
have lunch overlooking Bartlett lake. Thank you all who participated in the drive and put it
to the test.
JCCA Annual General Meeting: On Sunday, January 24, 2016 JCCA will have its Annual
General Meeting at Laredo Cantina, 7361 E Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
We will gather for happy hour at 5pm with dinner and the AGM Meeting starting at 5:45.
Please visit JCCA to RSVP so that we have sufficient space for everyone attending.
JCNA AGM and JCNA IJF: Our big club event in 2016 will be the JCNA AGM on March
31- April 2, 2016 followed by the JCNA IJF from April 3-6, 2016. There are many exciting
activities planned for the AGM and IJF. Visit the event website (www.jaguarfestival.com)
for details. Also, while you are visiting the website you take advantage of early bird
registration pricing available through December 15, 2015.
Wishing everyone the best holiday ever, and a Happy New Year. See you at the Cantina
Loredo.
Best Regards,

Richard Greb tells us the good
news: "I entered our 1953
XK120M for consideration in
the 2016 Arizona Concours
d’Elegance and was just
informed it was selected for
the Biltmore show. Maybe the
fact that Sir Stirling Moss
signed the dash at this Kansas
City show had some bearing?"
Having Stirling's autograph
couldn't hurt, but a gorgeous
car might make the difference.
Look for it when you attend
the event in January.

Jaguar Press: Jaguar Unveils Exclusive Christmas ‘F-Sleigh’ Design
14 December 2015: Jaguar and Land Rover showcased their latest collection of branded goods alongside licensed partners in central London today, to mark the launch of the brands' 2016 collections.
A special ice-sculpture of a Christmas-inspired Jaguar design was exclusively revealed at the London Edition hotel to celebrate the merchandise and luxury goods launch. Codenamed 'F-SLEIGH', the Jaguar Christmas sleigh takes inspiration from the Jaguar F-TYPE convertible, but with skates in place of wheels, a generous open luggage compartment for gifts and jet power to generate Jaguar's renowned supercharged performance through the night sky. A Growler-embossed red nose completes the F-SLEIGH's Christmas theme.
Lindsay Weaver, Jaguar Land Rover Director of Branded and Licensed Goods said:
"The amazing F-SLEIGH may be a bit of Christmas fun, but it proves that Jaguar Land Rover is now creating much more than world-class cars. We have been working tirelessly
to develop collections that tell stories and celebrate our great brands, and this 2016 collection is our most desirable ever - we've really pushed ahead for design, quality and originality and it's great to showcase it alongside the luxury goods being produced by our exclusive brand partners."
Some of the products displayed by Jaguar and Land Rover brand partners included exclusive items from Art Fragrance, Barbour,
Bremont, Globetrotter, Menrad, Oliver Sweeney, Landy Books and 2x2 Ltd.
In addition, in-house products from Jaguar and Land Rover including limited edition
(199 of each) meticulously hand-crafted 1:8 scale models of iconic Jaguar cars (displayed was a 1957 XKSS), a Defender Pedal Car concept, and heritage-inspired apparel and branded accessories were installed as part of the showcase.
Items from the new collections are available
to buy at Jaguar and Land Rover retailers and
online stores: https://shop.jaguar.co.uk/ /

The Jaguar XE has added to its already impressive trophy cabinet with major wins at two prestigious award ceremonies in November.
The XE was crowned 'Best Executive' in the Scottish Car of the Year awards. Alisdair Suttie, President of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, said: "With its fine lines penned by Scotsman Ian Callum, the Jaguar XE is as good looking as executive saloons come. It has abilities to match its looks, with first rate ride, refinement, driving dynamics and efficiency."
The Jaguar XE took the Scottish Car of the Year award for 'Best Design and Innovation' in 2014.
Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum collected the award. Ian said: "Even though we launched the XE into one of the most competitive segments in the car industry, we were quietly confident that we had a winner on our hands. It looks exactly the way a Jaguar sports saloon should: stylish, sporty and fast even when it's motionless. I'm honoured that the Association of Scottish
Motoring Writers has recognised it as best in its class."
Earlier in the month, the Jaguar XE also took home the top award from the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO). ACFO's award-winners are decided by votes from its members - which include most of Britain's major fleets - and who this year made the XE its 'Fleet Car of the Year'.
Jaguar Land Rover Managing Director
Jeremy Hicks said: "We had fleet owners and
fleet drivers very much in mind when we
created the Jaguar XE - it's a car that offers
all the sporting and luxury appeal that people
expect of a Jaguar while also offering best-in
-class running costs. It's fantastic to see that
our customers are so pleased with the
finished product."

Legendary racing driver and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Andy Wallace relived his 1988 victory by taking to the Silverstone circuit to drive the Jaguar XJR9-LM during day and night back-to-back with the new 550PS, 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 Jaguar XJR. Wallace discusses his experiences in the XJR9-LM and the new XJR in an exciting new film available to view and share at https://youtu.be/IgMxSkJb058
Driving at night on the Silverstone circuit gave Wallace the opportunity to test the new LED headlights on the new XJ, which are a first for Jaguar. "Driving at Le Mans back in 1988, it was so hard to see at night," said Wallace. "We were travelling at around 240mph and it was too fast to see the road ahead. We used the lights more to catch glimpses of landmarks as they whizzed past, so we knew where we were.
"These days, modern road cars have incredible lights. LED technology allows you to see three times the distance we could back then, while active steer and bend also help target the lights to the places you want to see.
"As a driver, whether you're cruising on the road or pushing for performance on track, that level of vision really helps to give you confidence and that improves safety, performance and precision. I would love to have had the modern lights we have now on the XJR9-LM."
Ian Hoban, Vehicle Line Director, XJ said: "The XJ is now more dynamic and distinctive than ever, and taking the high-performance XJR to
Silverstone gave an excellent demonstration of how the new LED lighting fitted to the car can benefit the driver.
"But the new LED lights are just one of many impressive new features on our flagship saloon. Delivering even greater levels of luxury and performance, it features our new world-class infotainment system and interior materials and finishes that create an even more bespoke feel."
The 2016 XJ has had a thorough exterior design refresh and the full LED headlights with unique double 'J-Blade signature' daytime running lights are one of the key additions. They are unique in the Jaguar range.
The LED headlights provide a colour temperature closer to that of daylight than the Bi-Xenon lamps they replace, improving visibility and driver comfort and also delivering a significant improvement in energy efficiency.
The most advanced lights ever seen on a Jaguar
or Land Rover product, they also accentuate the
'quad lamp' design feature that Jaguar sporting
sedans have made their own - a feature that also
appeared on the XJR9-LM.

Jaguar Press: Jaguar XE and All-New XF Achieve Five Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating
The Jaguar XE and all-new Jaguar XF saloons have been awarded the maximum five star rating in Euro NCAP's 2015 safety tests.
XE and XF scored highly in every category - Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Pedestrian and Safety Assist - and are among the most highly-rated models in their respective segments.
As well as outstanding crash protection, the XE and XF also benefit from a range of active safety systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking (fitted as standard in Europe), which uses a forward-facing stereo camera to detect vehicles which could pose a threat of collision: the system can give the driver visual and audible warnings and automatically apply the brakes if a collision is deemed imminent.
"The XE and XF were engineered without compromise: we placed just as much focus on safety as we did on dynamics, performance, refinement and efficiency, and our stringent in-house standards far exceed the requirements of legislative and consumer tests.
"Everything from the aluminium alloys we developed for the body structures to the state-of-the-art stereo camera at the heart of the Autonomous Emergency Braking system has been painstakingly optimised to deliver world-class levels of safety."
Kevin Stride, Vehicle Line Director, Jaguar XE, XF, F-PACE
The XE and XF are developed from Jaguar's Lightweight Aluminium Architecture: the inherently light yet stiff and strong body structures deliver exceptional occupant protection, further enhanced by driver and passenger airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags. In the event of an impact with pedestrians, deployable bonnets help to mitigate serious injuries.
Both models offer a full suite of active safety technologies and advanced driver assistance systems* including Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Additional features offered in the XF - and which will be offered in the 2017 Model Year XE - include Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor and Adaptive Speed Limiter.
