Pastor’s Page “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 It is the National Day of Thanksgiving this month. It is a time of Thanksgiving every day for us Christians. For who or what are you and I thankful…? I’d like to challenge you to think, then thank God and others every day. On Thanksgiving Day, may you share with others this grateful practice. “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 13:34 What are you most thankful for today about God and why? Share it with God and someone! Who are you most thankful for today and why? Share it with God and that person! What are you most thankful for today and why? Share it with God and another person. What would make you thankful today if it happened, and ask God for it in prayer, with thanksgiving already, so sure by faith that He will either give you exactly what you want and need, or something better! What would make someone else thankful today? Go and pray for this to happen for them, and be a part of the answer to that prayer by making it happen, if you are at all able to do so. You write the rest of this article by answering the questions above and doing what I, your pastor, call you to do, along with God. We will show our thanks by, not just being hearer of God’s Word but, being Doers of it, with thankfulness in our hearts to God for Christ Jesus, and all He means for us and our lives! Amen? “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 Thankful to God for each of you!

Pastor Paul Hauser

Pastor Paul Hauser

Thank you, veterans! On Veterans Day, we honor men and women who’ve served and sacrificed in one of America’s armed services. On November 11, 1918, America and her allies signed a truce with German leaders, ending World War I. In 1919, President Wilson decided the United States should remember with gratitude the end of that war and honor mili-tary members by marking Armistice Day, or “truce” day. In 1954, Congress changed the name to Veterans Day, honoring veterans of every era. Veterans Day highlights our country’s quest for peace, justice and freedom throughout the world. Followers of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, pray for unity among all nations and for the day when “nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4, NIV).

Operation Polar Drop Food Give Away Paul Bohn

On Saturday, Oct. 19th, God's Helping Hands distributed a truck load of food to help those in need. Operation Polar Drop was done in partnership with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, the United Way of Saginaw County, and Pepsico. Stuart T. Wilson, CPA, PC bought 5 trucks of food to be distributed at different locations is Saginaw county and we were asked to be one of the sites. Because we had another event going on that day at Zion, we moved the distribution to St. Peter Lutheran Church on Rauchholz Road. Along with the food... hats, gloves and other goodies were given away. I prayed to God that he would hold off on the rain for that day and not only did he hold off on the rain, he provided a BEAU-TIFUL day for us. We were told that we would need 50 volunteers to make this an easier day for us. We ended up with 80! Once again, God came through for us! One hundred fifty one boxes where handed out to 130 families. Ninety eight cars came through helping 423 people. Not all the food was distributed and we probably had enough food to do another 100 boxes. A lot of it went to Hidden Harvest to be

distributed by other agencies and some it went to Zion to be given out by God's Helping Hands.
