Dear Owners,
As many of you are aware The Isles has been experiencing an ongoing issue with wild
pigs. Unfortunately, the pigs have caused damaged to sod and garden beds. A trapper has been
hired to remove them, and to date, 14 pigs have been removed from the community. We will
continue to trap the pigs through the summer and possibly into the fall. Our goal is to begin
replacing damage sod and plants in July. By then we are optimistic that a sufficient number of
pigs will have been removed to allow for replacing landscaping without the concern of further
damage. If you have had landscaping damaged due to the pigs please create a portal ticket so
that we can address the damage in the coming months. Thank you for your patience as we con-
tinue removing the pigs.
BrightView landscaping has completed the trimming of palms 15 feet and taller. If you
believe a palm around your house was missed, please create a portal ticket. Palms less than 15
feet are trimmed by the same crew that trims the plants around your house. They have been
instructed to trim fronds which are dead, touching a home including any screen enclosure, and
any low hanging fronds obstructing a walkway.
The month of June can be one of the hottest and driest months of the year which can
make it a very challenging month to install sod. BrightView along with the office will be monitor-
ing the weather, with the hope of rains starting mid to late June. The possibly of rain will dictate
the decision to install sod in the month of June. Installation of new sod requires daily watering
and even then the limited amount of water supplied by the irrigation system may not be enough
due to the summer heat. If you have requested sod please understand that it may not be
installed in June. We are confident we will be able to install sod by July.
Respectfully,
Joshua Jones

COMMITTEE UPDATES
If you haven’t already done so now is the time to have
you’re A/C unit serviced for the summer, even if you are
up north for several months. Keep in mind A/C units in
Florida don’t last as long as those in cooler climates as
they run 12 months a year.
If your thermostat has a battery, make sure you change it
from time to time to prevent corrosion in your thermo-
stat. Same goes with the battery in your exterior garage
keypad.
Alarm back up batteries can be purchased at Batteries Plus
Bulbs. The closest store is on the north east corner of
Bee Ridge and McIntosh. The purpose of the alarm battery
is to provide power to the ADT alarm in case of a power
failure.
Turn off water to your home when you are away for an
extended period. No need to have your water heater on
when you are away.
When was the last time you drained your water heater,
had your dryer vent cleaned and had the garage door
serviced?
Have a happy healthy summer.
Carol E Solomon - Chairperson
ACC CORNER BRIGHTVIEW LANDSCAPING
Dear Isles residents, Summer officially begins this
month. The forecast calls for higher than normal
temperatures with little rain, possibly causing severe
drought conditions. This combination can cause hot
spots in the turf. If you see this areas please report as
an irrigation ticket on the portal.
It is important to know that our landscapes may experi-
ence heat and drought damage. If you see plants dying
feel free to give them a drink of water from the hose if
you like. Otherwise please create a portal ticket. Please
be patient with the hibiscus, jatropha, and oleanders
that were hard cut they are growing out slowly.
We plan on doing a ladybug release mid-June if we can
get them. Our source is having problems this year with
supply but promises us they should have them before
July. We use them as a natural way to attack the bad
insects like aphids, thrips, scale, and mealybugs not to
mention many more plant eaters.
We are currently working on a backlog of plant
replacements which will be installed the third week of
this month. The new annuals will be going in mid June.
Mowing will continue on a weekly basis through
October. Mowing service would include all the usual
suspects, mowing, blowing, weed eating, with soft and
hard edging.
The detail crews will remain hard at work to keep your
shrubs beautiful for the season.
Our Irrigation system is continually monitored and
adjusted for the changing seasons and plant require-
ments. Repairs and modifications are taken care of as
needed. They also are trying their best to eliminate
hotspots but with irrigation running twice a week it’s
hard to not have some dry grass areas.
BrightView appreciates your loyalty and commits to
creating a beautiful place to live.

Account Manager
