Islam

Islam in England is the largest non-Christian religion, with most Muslims being immigrants

from South Asia (in particular Pakistan, Bangladesh and India) or descendants of immigrants

from that region. Many others are from Muslim-dominated regions such as the Middle East,

Afghanistan, Malaysia and Somalia, while fewer come from Equatorial African countries such

as Nigeria, Uganda and Sierra Leone.

According to the 2001 census, 1.54 million Muslims live in England and Wales, where they

form 3.3% of the population. According to research by The Times, there were 2.4 million

Muslims in the United Kingdom in 2009. In 2010, a study by the Pew Research Center argued

that there were 2.869 million Muslims in Britain as a whole.

Beliefs

- There is no official creed to which one must adhere to be considered a Muslim. All that is required

is to believe and recite the Shahada.

- The single most important belief in Islam, and arguably the central theme of Islam, is that there is

only one God.

- Muhammad, the founder of Islam, is revered as "the Seal of the Prophets" - the last and greatest

of the messengersof God.

- The Quran is the book of sacred writings.

- Like Christianity, Islam teaches the continued existence of the soul and a

transformed physical existence after death.

- For a Muslim, the object of life is to live in a way that pleases God so that you can win

the Paradise.

- Muslims consider their religion to the be the one true religion, and invite people of all races,

nationalities and religions to be part of it.

Is Islam a terrorist religion?

Islam doesn't teach terrorism under any circumstances. It forbids killing of innocent civilians.

The holy Book of Islam, the Quran says: "If anyone murders an innocent person it will be as if

he had murdered the whole of humanity." So, for those who commit's such heinous acts in the

name of Islam? It is obvious from the above injunction of the Quran that they do not followtrue Islam.

Islam, an Arabic word whose root is "silm," means peace and protection from danger. Islam is

supposed to provide an environment of peace and tranquility for all, Muslims and non-

Muslims. It is supposed to protect everyone from external or internal threats and dangers.

Para un musulmn, el objeto de la vida es vivir de una manera que agrada a Dios de modo que uno puede

ganar el Paraso

Los musulmanes consideran su religin como la verdadera religin , e invitan a gente de todas las razas,

nacionalidades y religiones para ser parte de ella.
