The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) is pleased to invite your organisation to participate, exhibit or sponsor the 47th Union World Conference on Lung Health in Liverpool, United Kingdom, 26 – 29 October 2016.

The Union’s conference is a vital meeting place for the finest scientific minds working on all aspects of lung health. This year’s theme Confronting Resistance: Fundamentals to Innovations addresses a number of critical areas for discussion such as the growing resistance to existing tuberculosis (TB) medications, ongoing resistance to tobacco control and meeting the challenges of the new agenda for TB and lung health that was set in Cape Town at the 46th World Conference.

This year’s conference will be held in Liverpool, UK, a dynamic city, home to the world famous Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, an institute that is pioneering research into the causes, effects and treatment of TB, pneumonia and air pollution. With an extensive network of hospitals and universities, biotech companies and community programmes, Liverpool is a leader in medical, social and political aspects of lung health.
