The intelligent farmer

Once upon a time, there was an old man named Ahmed. He is a very nice,

intelligent and lovely farmer. He loved agriculture and worked as much as he could

on his land everyday because it was the source of living for his children.

When he was about sixty years old, he became very sick. He was in a bad bodily

and mental condition. So he called out his children: “I bury a great treasure in my

farm. You should look for it in order to share it between you after my death”.

After five days, the father died. They took all his agriculture materials and they went

to the farm in order to look for the treasure. They dug in the ground and turned

over all the dust but they did not find anything, unfortunately!

After a while they sat down thinking about the “Speech” of their father. One of

them said: “I think that it was just a lie and fib there is no treasure; nothing”; so

what can we do? The other responds “for me it is better to sow and plant the land

just for not wasting our strength”.

After that, they sow the wheat and other crops in this land. It gave a nice

production and when they sold it they got a lot of money. At this moment they

understood their father’s secret and they prayed Allah demanding the pretty to their

father.

Finally, the farm was a great treasure and without it they could not live since it

provided them with all they needed in life.
