The SIRIUS modular system
The SIRIUS modular system, which we continuously advance to the highest technical standard, offers modular and flexibly combinable standard components for switching, starting and protecting. Only seven sizes cover the entire performance range up to 250 kW/400 V. The individual components, which feature all a very compact design and are modularly matched to each other, can be fast and easily configured, mounted and maintained. Soft starters, circuit breakers or contactors are simply screwed together and the load feeder is ready for use.

When the main circuit is subjected to overload, phase imbalance or phase failure, the connected loads are at risk – except they are reliably protected.

Today, the vast majority of drive concepts is based on three-phase motors. In many cases, however, direct starting or star-delta starting is not the best solution. Adverse side effects, such as mechanical shocks in the machine or voltage drops in the line supply are a com-mon occurrence.
With our SIRIUS soft starters, we are able to offer a considerably better alternative. The seamless and hitherto unique spectrum covers all standard and high-feature applications of motor starting. By means of the flexible and modular motor manage-ment system SIMOCODE pro, motors with constant speeds up to 820 A can be particularly easily and re-liably controlled. The intelligent system realizes all motor protection and control functions, determines operating, diagnosis and statistical data and controls the communication between automation system and motor feeder via PROFIBUS DP. SIMOCODE pro can be easily integrated in automation systems via a stand-ardized interface.
SIMOCODE pro is divided into two functionally distinct device series: SIMOCODE pro C (Compact) for direct and reversing starters and SIMOCODE pro V (Variable), the variable motor management system with an even larger functional scope for voltage and power monitoring.

Featuring a particularly compact design, SENTRON 3VLmolded-case circuit breakers meet all requirements placed upon space-saving electrical distribution systems – in the power range from 16 A to 1600 A. Depend-ing on the individual requirements, the universal and communication-capable circuit breakers are available for system and motor protection, for starter combina-tions or as non-automatic air circuit breakers. The cor-responding releases are optionally available as thermal-magnetic (16 A to 630 A) or electronic (63 A to 1600 A) trip units. With only two ranges of internal accessories, SENTRON 3VL molded-case circuit breakers offer maxi-mum versatility with minimum expenditures.
