From it’s Native American heritage to the Gulf of Maine’s unique ecosystems and species, Bar Harbor, Maine has something for everyone. Whale watching, boating, kayaking, rock climbing, pubs and breweries, fine dining, and shopping only name a few activities in this quaint town. View Maine’s most scenic vistas at Acadia National Park. Here you can also visit the museum, tour the island lighthouses, browse the art galleries, or observe lobsters and their babies at the hatchery.
Bar Harbor, Maine is easily accessible via the Bangor Airport. Temperatures in this area during June usually range from the low 70’s to low 80’s making the outdoors ideal for all types of activities. For more information on Bar Harbor, please visit www.barharborinfo.com.
PURPOSE OF WORKSHOP: The American Physiological Society (APS) Institute on Teaching and Learning (ITL) will engage educators (community/4-year college through professional school) in interactive sessions on best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment. Whether you are an experienced educator or new to teaching, it will challenge you to gain skills in designing and implementing educational research in your classroom and in learning how to share your findings with colleagues.
