• For our presentation we’ll be talking about Earth and Mars.

• The average distance from Mars to Earth is about 225 000 000 kilometers.

• The distance of Earth from the sun is 149, 579, 870.7 kilometers. (92, 955, 887.6 miles)

• Earth- estimated size of the Earth- around over 40,000km in circumference, and over 500 million km

• Mars-size: 4,217 miles (6,786KM)

• Our planet is  an oasis.• The Earth's temperature, weather,

atmosphere and many other factors are just right to keep us alive.

• The earth has one moon, its name is Luna.• Earth is married to Uranus.(greek mythology)• Greek name- Gaea• 30% of the earth is land, and 70% is ocean.• Earth is the densest major body in the solar

system.

Mars Facts

• Mars is the God of War and Agriculture.• It is so called “The Red Planet” because of the

iron oxide floating around the planet. When a close a view it is actually beige.

• In Greek, Mars is the Greek God Ares.• Mars has two moons, their names are Deimos,

and Phobos.• Evidence suggests the Mars had rivers, streams,

lakes, and even Oceans.• If you weigh 70 pounds, in Mars you’ll only

weigh 27 pounds on earth.

Did you know?

• Mars has higher mountains, and deeper canyons than any other planet. The largest canyon on Mars would stretch from New York City to Los Angeles on the Earth. That makes the Grand Canyon look tiny. It also has the Solar System's biggest volcano, Mt. Olympus, which is nearly 3 times larger than Mount Everest.

• It was classified because if they found something that was living or bad that can damage earth they would not tell us until it was official.
