The phone as a communications center

• Since you wake up until you go to bed, near you as your main assistant

• No more a simple phone for making calls and sending messages

• Nowadays, it can do almost as the same functions for you as a computer

• The improvements in the phone industry are getting better and better

Interact and share between multiple devices

• Your phone is no longer an individual… it is meant to be connected across the Internet

• Lots of data can be manipulated and used among other devices for reasons like productivity

• Get in touch with your contacts in a new variety of ways, as well as increase them

• Tired of looking at the phone screen? Just continue your task on the PC or tablet

… but is all about the smartphone?

Current wearables and autonomous cars

• Recently, the tech industry has been exploring new ways of communicate information to the users and interact with it

• Why not using a simple watch and transform it into a redesign concept? The result is a completely new range of products

• The current focus lies on replacing typical objects with updated functionalities in line with the digital era

• But this is getting even more huge, with the creation and development of operating systems made to be installed in vehicles (e.g. Android Auto or Apple’s CarPlay)

• The long-term objective seems clear: make an autonomous car with tasks automation and smart capabilities

Which might be the next thing… ?

Probably the next thing is not a physical new thing… just a new interpretation

IoT (a.k.a. Internet of Things)

• Instead of building another device, let’s reinterpret its function

• The Internet of Things comes for easily interacting with typical objects at our houses

• Because of this it will be possible to bring at home pure smart and technologic features in the coming years

IoT (a.k.a. Internet of Things)

• This concept results in a new smart thing without actually inventing a new one

• Utilize bulbs for phone notifications

• Synchronize your shopping list from the fridge into your watch

• Early detection of food sticking through sensors

• As you can see, a huge variety of situations could be managed

The smart city as a long-term consequence

The smart city as a long-term consequence

• The inclusion of new ways for communicating typical objects with the most recent devices available in the market, opens a future of smart buildings

• A wide range of people is starting to produce software that reproduce new functions because of several mini-chips currently on sale

• We will see how the main cities of the world begin showing us new infrastructures connected via Internet in the coming years
