Information system (IS) is the study of complementary networks of hardware and software that people and organizations use to collect, filter, process, create and distribute data.



Information system (IS) is made up of Hardware and Software.

Computer Instructions or data, anything that can be stored electronically is Software.

Hardware is one that is tangible. The storage devices (Hard disk, CD’s etc.,), mouse, keyboard CPU and display devices (Monitor) are Hardware.
