    Enhancing Your Intuition

Intuition plays an indispensable role in self-diagnosis, pain contro

immune response and recovery from acute and chronic illness. As

nurture your intuitive healing capacity your body then provides th

energy needed to create holistic methodologies that assist you in cre

breakthroughs in anxiety, panic, depression, and other emotiona

blockages. This approach can be a bridge between traditional ancomplementary medicine.

In this moving personal story Dr. Orloff recounts her

"journey to become whole" by first accepting and then

embracing her intuitive abilities. She tells of her

childhood fear of her intuition, of her physician-parents'

efforts to ignore and even deny them, and of her slow

awakening to the understanding that her intuition is truly

gift. She tells of her struggle to incorporate her abilities

into her practice and of the many successes she's

experienced with patients ever since. Second Sight is a

    soulful and friendly bestseller.

Just like I have evolved my spiritualpractice into an interfaith, metaphysical point of view, Iintuitively integrate what the various diets have to offer to feedmy mind, body, and spirit. From the Editor

    Infinite Possibilities thru

    Second Sight

I asked my children what Infinite Possibilities meant to them. My son

said, "Lots of possibilities. Anything can happen." My daughter said,

"Ditto. What he said." So, I said, "C'mon...Tell me what it means to you."She answered, "Lots of things can happen. Anything you want it to be."

Children are so wise. I sat there repeating to myself, "Anything you want

it to be."I bet you're wondering, "Wow, you mean I can really have or be anything

I want? You mean that my life can be anything I want it to be?"

The answer is Yes.I believe that most people have forgotten how to believe that anything is

possible for them. They have taken comfort in believing that other people

can have the life that they dream about, but have forgotten that as

individuals that they too can have a dream for themselves. It's frustrating

and sad because most people have forgotten to dream. After years of

deciding that my dreams were no longer relevant and believing that the

time and space to achieve them had long past, I was laid off from my job

as a medical writer. Years had gone by and I truly had forgotten how to

dream. As I walked out the doors of the company I had worked for the

last time, I truly felt free! Slowly I began to dream again. It seemed likethe worst time for all of this to happen and the most inconceivable timefor me to have faith in something so illusive - but I did. My husband,

Milton, and I had faith that all would be well with us and our family. We

believed that we would finally be able to do all of the things like take a

vacation, start a company, and work a flexible schedule that would allow

us the freedom to spend time with our children and with each other.

The Possibilities were infinite. As we began to gain clarity and perception

around these dreams, we gained a Second Sightinto our future and our "NOW"

because we stopped listening to all of the outside voices and began to go within.

My husband started a gratitude ritual every morning where he wrote down all of

the things for which he was grateful. Our children, Alexzandria and Evan, made

vision boards, meditated, and prayed. I watched and read The Secretalmost

non-stop, made a vision board, meditated, and prayed. Several months after

unpacking some boxes, I ran across my vision board. On my vision board, I had

a lot of magazine cut-outs about words. There was one cut-out that said Healing

Words and another said Good Words. It struck me that I had created healing andgood words in a space called The Infinite Field Magazine. As if thru some

beautiful alchemy, I had tapped into an infinite field which was filled with

powerful and amazing possibilities that were as vast as the stars in the sky. I had

learned to tap into the magic of the universe with a simple dream.

Looking back now, I realize we arrived here in this space of manifestation by

simply listening to the inner intuitive wisdom or, as Dr. Judith Orloff calls it,

our Second Sight. The universe sends us all these little love notes and messages

to guide us and lead us to our highest good. When we follow them, we open

ourselves up to an realm of divine wisdom and infinite possibilities to create our

lives in a way that most of us have dared not dream possible. This inner

guidance - Second Sight or the guru within - speaks practical wisdom to us that

can be applied to our everyday situations. It does take some training of your

mind to tap into it, but it is well worth the energy, effort, and time. Each of us

can enter into this space by tapping into the silence, meditating, doing gratitude

exercises, creating a vision board, praying, reading, and by simply listening to

the quiet inner voice speaking softly.

Listening to this inner voice has helped me to recognize that THOUGHTS

BECOME THINGSas Mike Dooley shares in The Secretand in his bookInfinite

Possibilities. Like the words on my vision board, everything that I have desiredto think about in a focused, consistent, positive, and meditative way has become

a reality. By opening myself up to the infinite possibilities that lie within,

listening to the universe's guidance and wisdom, I have been able to move

thoughts into things and visions into reality.

You too have this power. You can tap into this power at any time. It all truly

    begins with a dream....

    Are Infinite Possibilities

    Attainable?

    by LaTalya Palmer-Lewis

    o the average person experiencing

he financial and social hardships of

ur times, the idea of an infinite

ossibility may seem like a far away

ream. For those who are stuck in

he excruciating pain of struggle or a

    mediocre life, an infinite possibility

may be a dream thats reachable

    omeday- someday when they

ecome a master meditator, a guru

r reader of the stars. But since the

    ruggle, hardships and mediocre

    xistence never seems to disappear,

    he dream dwindles away. The

ream can only be revived if we can

nd a way to rebuild our sense of

ope, desire, passion and most of

l, belief. A belief in an Infinite

pirit that is really not so far away.

Spirit that is as close as our heart

nd as accessible as our breath. A

elief in what a moment lived in the

ealm of that Inner Spirit can open

    p for us.

n any moment, we can surrender

he grip that we have on the

    mpossible and allow ourselves to

magine and be relieved by the

    hought of a brighter moment.

righter moments become more of a

ormalcy when we continue to find

    he blessings in every circumstance.

    Blessings multiply when we forgive

the hurts of the past that become our

present. And in that state of

forgiveness, the crust of hardship is

chipped away, and the floodgates of

our hearts and minds open to

    experience the Divine. In the

Divine Presence, we freely ask for

what we truly desire to experience,

knowing that we are deserving and

fully willing to have it. Being

    present with and nurturing the

Divine Presence within allows us to

be a vessel for possibilities to be

born. And with every breath, those

    possibilities are expressed, enjoyed

    and shared with the world.

    You see, my friend, infinite

    possibilities are not faraway dreams

buried by our issues and hardships.

They are our natural birthright and

    moment-by-moment experiences of

    unlimited goodness. Infinite

possibilities embrace and encompassall opportunities for goodness and

    dreams to materialize despite our

former conditions. Our only role is

to use each moment as an

    opportunity to surrender and shift

our focus on the infinite possibilities

that are available to us in each

    moment.

    ACCEPTING THE

    GOOD

    by Rev Celeste A. Frazier

Ask any of my five prayer partners,my congregants, my fellow

    practitioners and ministers and close

friends how I feel about prayer and

they might tell you that shes

    passionate about prayer. What

follows may begin to help you

    understand why.

When I was in a traditional faith (thenames have been omitted to protect

the innocent), I loved praying. But I

    did discover a challenge with

    integrity and questioned my own

hypocrisy when I began to repeat the

    same behavioral choices that returned

me into what some may call sinning

    (from the English archery term,

syne, meaning to miss the mark). What had my prayers done for me,

after all, if I am continuing to be a

    bad person?

Leaving aside the awesome details of

my spiritual journey for the moment,

suffice it to say that, God is always

on time. At the point when I felt

most defeated in the world, God

physically assisted me in getting to a

    service at the Agape International

Spiritual Center and my life changed.

It was there that I gave myself

    permission to exhale, immediately

    embarked on taking classes and

    learned Spiritual Mind Treatment,

also known as affirmative prayer scientific prayer.

What in the world does science h

to do with prayer? Everything! A

all, we are energy and science stu

    energy. Quantum physics has alr

closed the gap between religion a

science. To begin to uncover this

lets look at the five stages oftreatment.

Beginning with the premise that G

is, we use theRecognition step as

    starting point for our treatment.

    Scientists discovered long ago tha

there is an aspect of their experim

that has no explanation. We call

    Spirit. Recognizing that Spirit is

    Beauty, Love, Peace, Joy, Freedom

    Harmony, Expansion, Abundance

and all that is good, we start here

it is difficult to acknowledge that

God is any of these things, you m

allow yourself to begin with visib

    evidence. Presuming that God an

not man created the sky, a look at

sky is proof enough that God is

    expansive. Look at the abundant

grains of sand at the shore is amp

    evidence of Gods abundance.

Again, knowing full well that Go

created the shore, we accept the t

rnest Holmes calls prayer treatment for the same reason that Christian

cientists are arguing for their prayer treatments to be included in the

ealth Reform bill -- because prayer heals. Where does the healing take

lace? In the mind. We have the philosophy in Science of Mind that we

re made from the Substance of God and are therefore already Whole.

What we do with treatment then, is uncover the blocks to this knowing or

ear away the debris so that we may see our divine birthright of perfection:

erfect God, Perfect Being, perfect (wo)man!

he second stage of treatment is Unification. This is where we allow

urselves to know that we are indeed a product of our creator and therefore

ne with it. Just as you have your mothers genes, you have the spiritual

make-up of the Presence that created you.

Moving forward with this understanding, we recognize that because God is

bundant, I must be abundant. This is what we callRealization. To realize

my abundance, I can come to the spiritual realization based on the

    mathematical equation A = B, A = C, therefore B = C. In other words, God

    A) is Abundance (B), I (C) am one with God (A); therefore, I am

bundant (B = C). Still with me? Now, if my bank account is not

eflecting this Truth, it is because there is a conflict in my mind that must

e resolved. If my spiritual understanding is not sufficient, this may

ecome an argumentative treatment. Yes, I said argumentative. You let the

acts and the Truth battle it out. Truth will win!

We then come to the fourth step ofThanksgiving. As you well know,

ratitude is the best way to multiply what you want. It lets the Universe

now that you are open to your good. And thats all It needs to know to let

    he blessings flow.

know that none of you are control freaks out there (RIGHT!), so you may

ot have the issue of letting go. You wonder why God hasnt answered

our prayer and its because you havent let go of your attachment to the

utcome. As Buddha told us, attachment leads to suffering. Got it, Bodhi?

ow,Release is what we must do. I release my word into the Law, the

esponsive Universe that has, as Its nature, no choice but to say yes.

    nd so It is. Amen.

have a Warrior to thank. An inner

    Warrior with a benevolent

    ntention.

Near the beginning of my journey

f awakening, I recognized that my

hallenge in this lifetime was to

tretch my way of being beyond its

    ggressive comfort zone.

    hroughout childhood and beyond,

had relied on my Warrior spirit to

eal with the world before me.

    hat spirit permeated my

    daptations and disguises, my daily

    nteractions and love relationships,

my call to become a criminal trial

awyer. War was my habitual range

f e-motion. I ate the war game for

    reakfast.

    ut then something happened.

    After an extraordinary

    pprenticeship with a brilliant

    riminal lawyer (fellow Warrior

ddie Greenspan), I went to Turkeyn a last vacation before opening

my own practice. There, I was

wakened to and reminded of other

    athways of possibility, other

ersions of Jeff longing to take up

pace inside of me, pushing at my

oul seams. I came home to a

    piritual emergingcy- the state of

onfusion and inner tumult that one

    experiences when a spiritual

path is pushing its way into

    consciousness, prior to its full

    emergence and integration.

Amid the outcries of my angry

    Warrior, I procrastinated the

    decision to practice law. Over

    time, I recognized that my

challenge in this lifetime was to

    make a radical transformation in

    my soul consciousness. After many

    lifetimes as the archetypal Warrior-

the call to arms- the scripture in

this lifetime was to soul stretch into

a more surrendered and loving way

of being-the call to disarm. A new

Soulshape, one with a white flag at

    its centre....

As part of the journey home, I

    disdained the Warrior within at

every turn. I disparaged his driven

    nature, his narrow minded focus,

his macho ways of being. I saw his

armor as my primary obstacle, ananger encrusted distraction from

true-path. In my efforts to embody

a more heartfelt way of being, I

needed to distance myself from the

    battlefields I knew best.

But I missed the point. Towards the

    end of writing Soulshaping, I

    recognized that I had

    misunderstood

the nature of this process. Old

    Soulshapes don't fade away. They

just get pushed aside as the new

forms come into being. When the

    new form concretizes, the old

    forms rise back into awareness.

    Where before the Warrior and

    Healer archetypes appeared to be

    flowing in disparate directions,

    they were now revealed as

    inextricable branches of the same

waterway. On the River of Essence,

    everything flows in the same

    direction- towards the Ocean of

    Wholeness. At some point, the

    assertive and the surrendered

    become indistinguishable.

HONORING THE (BENEVOLENT)WARRIOR WITHINby Jeff Brown

ince that time, my respect for the Warrior within has deepened. Who

ushed me to overcome my miserable childhood? Who stood his ground

n the face of tyrannical parents? Who pushed me to door knock my way

hrough University? Who motivated me to clear my emotional debris and

xcavate my callings? Who got me through the writing of Soulshapingmid tremendous economic pressure? Who is energizing me to write this

    log?

is easy to miss the beauty of the Warrior spirit, particularly the

aditional male warrior. We have given women so little to be proud of-

misplaced aggression, power games, heartless destruction at every turn.

ur history has been a perverse distortion of our spirited nature, an egoic

oud of dark and thunderous proportions. As a man, I am genuinely

shamed of what we have perpetrated in the name of the Warrior. I invite

l men to acknowledge their complicity and to give extra kindness to the

omen in their lives. I ask the Divine Mother for forgiveness on our

    ehalf.

t the same time, I bow down to the noble efforts we have made to create

better world. I honor my Grandfather, who risked his life in World War

wo to protect the world I would be born into. I honor my Grandmother

ho held the family together under onerous circumstances. I honor the

Warrior spirit that built the railroads, the cities, the bridges that bring us

nto contact with one another. I honor those who worked like dogs, who

ied in the trenches, who did everything they could to establish the

oundation that I stand on in my efforts to go higher. But for them, this

log would not even enter my consciousness. I would be foraging through

he brush, knife in hand, attempting to find food to feed my family and

uel my survival. Praise to those well intentioned Warriors who came

efore. Praise to the Divine Father.

s with everything we do, the key to our actions is the intention behind

ur actions. Intention, intention, intention. The Warrior is not the

roblem- the sourcespring is the problem: What is motivating our

ecision to act? Is our edge emanating from a soulful sourcespring or are

e disconnected from the taproot? Are we making a conscious decision to

ssert ourselves or are we unconsciously directed? Are we fueled by

ongealed rage or a heightened intention? Civilized humans or barbaric

    easts?

think of the Warrior much like I think of the mind. When the mind's doings are directed by our highest intentions

a magnificent and constructive tool. One begins to think of ways to honor our callings and to elevate humanity. Y

when it is driven by primitive patterning and old tapes, it is self-destructive and soul-distractive. I remember when

rst crossed over from poverty to a measure of material comfort in my life. Instead of shifting my mind's focus fro

urvival to the next step in my evolution, I remained trapped in the worry mind, jumping from one neurotic tree to

o another, fueled by the memory of prior realities. Although I objectively knew my life had changed, I didn't feel

ecause I was still back there, trapped in the monkey mind and his fixation on survival. When I finally did feel the

hift, I began to utilize my mind to actualize the next stage of my inner evolution, to express and humanifest my

ighest callings. It was all a question of where I was moving from.

o get to the world as it ought to be from the world as it is, we need the benevolent Warrior within. We need his

nergy and his focus to develop and utilize our inner tools. We need his clarifying sword to distinguish false-path

rom true-path. We need his courage to fight for our right to the light, to push us to adventure beyond our habitual

ange of e-motion and try other ways of being on for size. Like swashbucklers of the spirit, we bravely seek out an

xperience that might inform our path and determinedly participate in our own revealing. In Soulshaping, I call it

htuscle- inner muscle, the soul driven determination to overcome whatever obstacles come our way. Without

htuscle and lots of it, we're not getting home.

n 2009, I invite you to honor the benevolent Warrior that lives inside you. Acknowledge the ways he has alreadyelped you to survive and reach this stage of your journey. Applaud his efforts to awaken you when you fall asleep

Give breath to his desire to take you higher up the Mountain of Consciousness. Honor the white flag at the heart o

is feisty nature. The Dude loves you.

Happy New Year to Benevolent Warriors everywhere. There is much work to be done on sacred battlegrounds bef

we can evaporate into Essence. Souldier on....

    Minute MeditationBy Susan Marek

It takes only a minute to read and breathe.

This meditation may be used at any time to assist you in remembering your divine connection. I encourage you first call on your angels and guides to be at hand and to provide a comfortable, loving presence during yourmeditation. You may also find it helpful to record these words in your own voice and play it back during meditatiI recommend you perform this meditation sitting comfortably on the floor or in a chair.

Close your eyes. Rest your hands gently on your lap in a comfortab

position. Take a deep breath. Inhale through your nose, letting the

breath flow easily and effortlessly into your lungs. Exhale slowly, allowing your breath to gently flow upward and out through your

    mouth.

Relax deeper into yourself as you take another breath, again letting

effortlessly flow in through your nose and out through your mouth.

It is a warm Spring day. A warm breeze is gently blowing as you st

across a green meadow. You are barefoot and can feel the new blad

of grass flexing under your feet and tickling your toes. You decide t

stop and rest on a soft patch of clover. You lie down and close your

eyes. The sun feels warm on your skin, and your muscles begin to

release their tension. You feel like you are floating above the grass

    you start to doze.

Parents bring children into this world

intending to teach them everything the

will need to know to grow up to live

    truly happy, successful and productive

lives, only to find out that one of the most valuable traits their childr

can possess is a trait that is eventually discouraged the ability to

    imagine!

Oh sure, parents think its cute when little Susie says she is going togrow up to be an astronaut, or Johnny says he is going to become a

rock star! For a while, some parents will even encourage their

    childrens imaginations.

I remember as a small child informing my parents that I was going t

grow up and become a famous equestrian. In conversations or durin

introductions, my father would refer to me as Denny, the future

    owner of the Kentucky Derby!

Eventually, as their children grow, parents feel it is necessary to brin

them into reality and encourage them to begin thinking about wha

they intend to do with their lives. This reality typically consists of

what the parents feel is attainable.

Of course, parents do this from a place of love, intending to protect their children from possible disappointment. B

n all actuality, what they have done is sent a message to their child that says there are limits

o what can and probably will happen in your life!

Children begin life with an amazing ability to see themselves doing anything they want to

do, becoming whoever they want to beanything is possible! Their imaginations fuel their

houghts, and they believe their thoughts until they are told there are limits!

And in our current society, which has been blessed with an abundance of knowledge in the

rea of self-growth, we have come full circle.

    Adults, who are actively

    applying the principles of

    the law of attraction, are

now told they can createanything they want in their

    lives. Anything is possible.

They can do, be or have

    whatever their heart desires.

They are told there are NO

    limitsto dream big

think outside the box and to

    let theirimaginations soar!

adly, the loss of the incredible ability to imagine

ands in the way of many adults being able to attract

    eir hearts desires.

he principles of the law of attraction state in order to

anifest what you truly want you must imagine you

ave already acquired what you desire, and imagine

e feelings of having already received your intention.

he instructions are specific: we must state our

tention clearly because the Universe takes our

tention literally and does not interpret what we

    tend.

or example, if you want to accumulate a lot of money,

e are instructed to state how much money. The

niverse will not determine how much money is a lot

f money; you must state how much is a lot to you.

    ve thousand or five million?

The key factor then becomes can you imagine yours

having $5,000.00? Probably. Can you imagine yours

    having $5,000,000.00? Maybe not.

You may state your intention to have $ 5,000,000.00

but in your mind, you really cant imagine it. If you

cant imagine it, you cant attach the feeling of havin

acquired it to the thought of the intention, thereby

creating a block to the manifestation of your intentio

Todays parents can and must take note of this valua

lesson we are all learning as a result of our experien

to create a better life for ourselves- the value of bein

    able to use our imaginations.

Parents need to encourage their children to believe

anything is possible in their lives because everything

possible in their lives. There is NO limit to what the

can do or be or achieve in life. This is the promise o

    the law of attraction.

Children are born with the instinct to dream big, bel

in their ability, and IMAGINE all possibilities apply

them. This should not only be allowed and celebrate

but viewed as a necessary trait that will enable them

create the life they were born to live.

Todays parents have an incredible opportunity to

positively affect their childrens path by respecting t

ability to imagine, encouraging them to dream big a

In her book THE RIGHT QUESTION

author Debbie Ford titles the second

    chapter, "Waking Up from Autopilot."

This is exactly the challenge you and I

face if we want to live an extraordinar

("extra" ordinary) life based in healthy

life affirming choices. As we look at thworld today, it may seem that the

majority of humankind exists at the

level of living a life that is stuck on

    autopilot, actually unaware that the

choices we make every moment of

    every day, individually and collectivel

determine our experience on the plane

This is self-evident with the mindless

damage being done to our environmen

and ecosystem, and perhaps even moreso through conflict between human

beings around the world. When we exist on autopilot, the tendency is to live unconsciously, self-

servingly and reactively rather than proactively. As a species, one could say we have made more

than a few mindless choices. I find this interesting given the fact that the ability to make conscious

choices is one of the primary things that separate us from every other species on earth. The good

news is it's not too late to learn that we can choose again! My point is that conscious choice begins

    with being conscious.

We have all heard the term "Think globally, act locally". What this means to me is that in order to

affect positive change in our world we must first begin with ourselves. To personalize this idea Iwould like to ask you these questions: Do you remember everything that you put into your body

yesterday? Conversely, do you remember everything that came out of your mouth...do you recall t

manner in which you chose to speak to and treat every person

with whom you have had contact? Do you remember the

moment you thought about (or avoided thinking about) doing

yourexercise program and the action you took (or didn't take)

to follow through? Do you recall the day you made the choice

to go to college or not to, to buy or sell a home or not to, to

have children or not to, to take or leave a job or not to, or enter

or exit a relationship or not to? From the seemingly

commonplace choices we make daily to the colossal once in a

    lifetime choices we make, they all have one thing in common;

they define who we believe ourselves to be. Another way to

look at it might be to say that irrespective of the degree, every

choice we make leads us closer to, or further away, from being

the person we desire to be. The more conscious we are in the

choices we make, the clearer we are on who we are. That's

how powerful is our freedom to choose.

    by Dennis Merritt Jones

"Every day, each of us makes a multitude of choices

that will impact our lives...the quality of our choices

will dictate whether we will struggle in frustration or

live an extraordinary life - the life of our dreams."

onsider the idea that when we come to an intersection while driving our car, the

rofoundly simple, but also intensely meaningful: How conscious will you be of the

hoices you make today? Will you turn right or left...or continue on the same road you

ave been traveling? This question is imperative to ponder for your own sake, as well

for ourfamily of the earth. It's time to take our lives off autopilot.

    Where can you

    begin? Commit to

    making conscious

choices for the next24 hours. Begin with

    the next thought you

    have that necessitates

    a choice of any kind.

    Irrespective of what it

    is, challenge it. In

your mind, fast forward and review the consequences of that choice. Will you be truly atpeace with the

consequences, or resent yourself later for the choice you made. Regardless of the scope or scale of the choices

you make today, ask yourself if the consequences of the choices are ones that serve you, as well as others, in an

affirmative manner. In other words, does this choice affirm a whole and fulfilling life for you and harms no onin any way, shape or form?

Most importantly, work diligently at creating space for the loving Presence of God within to be revealed and

then listen...you will know what choice to make.

    Peace, Dennis

    Your Sacred Garden

ift your spirit this spring and begin by

    planning your new sacred garden.

Imagine your space filled with birds,

    butterflies, bunnies, and other critters

hat may choose your garden and the positive

hi you create. This cozy garden can serve

ou and others well by providing a meditation

pace, herbs for cooking and healing, and a

lace to calm yourself from the stress of

    veryday living.

o begin with, it is important that you set an

ntention for the space. This requires some

hought to determine the need or purpose of

our garden and the relationship you wish to

ave with it. If you are an avid gardener,

lants and flowers that require more attention

will serve you better than someone who is

ust looking for peaceful inspiration. A

mixture of plants, flowers and shrubs can beesigned to reflect your intention as well as

rovide nourishment for the mind, body, and

pirit. Devote time to the planning stage of

our garden layout and design, as this will

ecure creating a personal sanctuary. You

might consider using the Feng Shui bagua to

ssist in your design or a professional

    andscape designer.

    L

By Janice Schneider Girgenti, D.D., HCCP

Ideally, the garden should offer space that is yin and yang sun

shade, so that visitors and animals alike can find respite, sun, sh

and silence . A variety of plants, evergreens and flowers should b

included in addition to a well thought out focal point such as a

water feature, large rock, art, or relaxing bench. Many features

the ones mentioned here will assist you in your design.

The threshold is considered the gateway to your garden. A hedg

doorway should be inviting and remind you to pause as you ente

your inner sanctum. It also offers protection for your solitude w

in the garden. The Japanese Moon Gate is a wonderful example

threshold. The path represents lifes purpose. Walkways that gen

meander and wind from one area to the next will help you to co

your blessings. An axis along the way is the spine that connects

points and leads us from one consciousness to another.

A lantern lights your path and will assist the inner wisdom to be drawn

from your center and guide you through present day concerns. A

comfortable bench offers an invitation to contemplate life and take rest

while a bridge represents passage from one belief to another. It might

provide a key element to your overall design and subconsciously remind

you that change can be easy and to remain open minded when dealing

    with real life issues.

The tree represents the human self: the roots are our soul that sustains life,

he trunk is our heart connecting heaven and earth, and the crown is our

spirit reaching up towards the future. A pond or pool provides a focal

point and enhances your wealth. It integrates heaven and earth in it's

reflection. The pond might also help you take note of the changes in

nature and provide soothing sounds if you choose a fountain or waterfall

feature. Stones and rocks are strong and silent. They represent mountains

and islands. Rocks might also be used to provide a focal point and help

center or ground the energy of your space.

Other garden features like the" green man" help to remind us of our

spiritual connection. Wind chimes are lovely and can enhance and shift

he chi. Invite animals with feeders to bring more life-giving chi to your

space. Perhaps a butterfly bush will bring about the beauty and color of

hese winged creatures, which represent transformation.

White sage is a well-known herb, which provides antioxidant and

antibacterial properties for teas and tinctures. It is also widely used to

purify a space. Basil, used in many different recipes, is also grown

outside Hindu temples and used to purify the home. Blueberries and

grapes are also great ways to add antioxidants to your diet. Even weeds

such as dandelion, chickweed, and nettle are full of vitamins and

    medicinal properties.

What is Spiritus - The Spiritual Marketing Directory?

y name is Shelagh Jones, and I want to tell you a little about how Spiritus - the Spiritual Marketing Directory, ca

    be created.

    usiness Promotion

rst, being involved in internet marketing myself, I was a member of several social networking sites, where the pr

tention was to relationship with other people.

ut behind this intention was another intention, the intention to attract people to my business. And sometimes this

condary intention got in the way of the first intention, and I began to think to myself - What if there was a businerectory where people could openly and cleanly promote their business to like-minded people?

aw of Attraction like is attracted to like

second place was from my work with small businesses, helping them to build their list of customers.

common cry was - I wish I could find more customers who are just like me. People who have the same values, w

ink like me about how to live a life, how to run a business, how to have business interactions work out to the bes

    dvantage of all involved.

nd often I would introduce suppliers to customers and see a business relationship flourish because of the shared

    alues of the people involved.

    Market from Spirit

third place was meeting people who were operating in industries which have a poor reputation for customer serv

ut who were choosing to do things differently, to do what felt right and good to them, not what everyone else was

    oing.

hought - what if there was a place where people looking for a company in that industry could find out about the

alues of businesses, about what motivated them, before starting a business relationship with them?

ut of these three ideas, Spiritus - the Spiritual Marketing Directory was born.

Im Not Participating In The Recession

None of us can likely count the enormous amount of people who complain about the recession we are

in, and blame it for failures in their lives ranging from A to Z. This general complaint has become a war

cry of nearly every individual and family with serious challenges. I make no slight of the challenges

people face, for I too have faced them and continue to face them; however there is a distinct differencebetween myself and those who think like me and those who have actually embraced this idea of The

Great Recession. The difference is that I have refused to participate in the recession. On the surface

this may seem over-simplistic, mocking, and perhaps even juvenile. However, on closer introspection

you will find that there are common practices, habits and language amongst those participating in the

    recession.

    by Adeeb Shabazz

    32/70

Those who have been convinced that this recession is a hard-fast reality

ave taken the position that the economy is bad, therefore they have given

p on advancing in business: businesses stopped advertising; banks

topped lending; and most of all, outlooks are bleak. Now I am a realist

nd am not going to tell you that there is no recession, because I know

here is. What I am going to say is that I am not participating and you do

ot have to either if it is not your choice. What those participating in the

ecession do not realize is that change is inevitable, and resisting change

auses stagnation, which has resulted in this recession in the first place.tale advertising and marketing strategies, old lending practices, and

taunch individualism can only lead to decay. The way people get their

ews, watch their shows, listen to their music, shop for their goods, and

ommunicate with people across the country and across the globe has

hanged dramatically in the past 10 years. First, ask yourselves the

ollowing questions: How much do we rely on a cell phone compared to

0 years ago? How much do we communicate by email compared to 10

ears ago? How much do we shop online compared to 10 years ago? The

nswers to these questions and questions like them will begin to illustrate

o you how our own world has changed so dramatically, and set us on aath toward realization of the world we live in today and what direction

we should be headed in. Now we must ask: how does this new way of

ommunicating, receiving information and spending money affect how

ellers of goods and services should be communicating with their potential

ustomers? We then can begin to recognize opportunities that exist to

etwork and build business like we never have before. Far more people

hop online, read their news online, watch movies online, buy music

nline, and communicate online than ever before. This creates

pportunities for everyday individuals to form partnerships and companies

hat compete in this quickly expanding digital cyber-world we live in.Taking advantage of new opportunities that this process reveals, even on a

    small scale, can

    at the very least

    increase our

    incomes by a

    few hundred

dollars to several thousand monthly, and for most of us t

makes the difference between living under the gun and

living the life we used to before people started talking

recession, or perhaps even better. The choice is ours - nothat we know better, will we do better? Large corporatio

and small businesses alike that do not adapt to these

changes and instead attempt to stick to old and outworn

practices will perish, and evidence shows that many hav

lready. Likewise, those individuals who do not adapt to change will suffer from the symptoms of the recession at

ome. We live in a rapidly changing world and a rapidly changing universe, and if we do not adapt we then feel th

angs of decay in our life.

In this 2nd Edition of What IfGod Were One Of Us, Shabazz

    continues the work of

    demystifying our own divinity

    by simplifying concepts in the

    Bible, Qur'an and other

    scriptural based texts and

    showing the reader the common

    thread through them all that

    shows the reader in plain

    language our connection to God

What does all this mean for those of us who are conscious

individuals simply trying to make ends meet for ourselves and

families, and perhaps get a bit ahead? This means that we need

be more self-aware: realizing how we do things on a daily ba

No longer can we rely on traditional jobs to provide the inco

that we need to thrive or even survive. Many of the

corporations we work for are being forced to downsize due

not being able to survive mismanagement and stale busine

models that do not stand up to the challenge of a 21stCentury economy, and if our jobs are spared then everyt

from pay to benefits and bonuses are cut to the bare bon

Wise and savvy individuals adapt by starting their own s

businesses that benefit from the trends of the 21st Century,

whether operating them out of our homes or growing them into a separate

business location if that becomes necessary. The Internet and digital media have creat

st opportunities available with little startup capital needed, allowing

en startup businesses to take advantage of and add to the growth and development

many facets of society and the economy. Even industries that have no direct ties to

e Internet and digital media will find their customers use these means tommunicate and receive information; therefore businesses of all types must begin to

ach their customers where they are and communicate the value of the goods and

rvices they offer. Speaking of value, each and every business will have to focus on

oviding the highest quality of goods and services because value is more of a

quirement than in recent past. Simply put, people are far more careful how and what

ey spend their money on, and those who provide subpar goods or offer subpar

rvice will find that their customer base is very discriminating.

he bottom line is that we must be flexible like a palm tree in todays economy,

cause the tall oaks of the 20th Centurys economy are cracking and falling as theseeat winds of change are sweeping through the world. Those digging in their heels and refusing to change will not

cceed in todays world, because the largest shift since the Industrial Revolution is taking place and taking hold.

eing highly observant, documenting and responding to consumer trends will be vital to the survival and success o

y individual or corporation. Knowing these things, and knowing that we actually do have a choice whether to

rticipate in the recession is more than half the battle won, while finding your niche and applying these principle

ns the rest of the battle. With that said, will you continue to participate in the recession, or will you bend with the

    nds of change and prosper?

    Tortellini & Spinach Salad

This salad is a sure crowd-pleaser. Folks are so happy with the

tortellini that they dont realize the dish is loaded with spinach.

Even the known finicky healthy-food-phobic members of my famigave this dish a thumbs-up at our last family reunion. I suggest

using a mushroom tortellini to limit the fattier cheese variety.

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add tortellini and

cook according to instructionsthe pasta should float to the

    top of the water.

    2. Drain water from pasta and place it in a very large bowl.

    3. Add the onion, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives.4. In stages add the spinach and balsamic vinaigrette, gently

blending the ingredients and avoiding breaking the

    tortellini.

    5. Once the spinach is fully integrated and softened, season to

taste with sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    INGREDIENTS

2 9-oz packages refrigerated or frozen tortellini

    cup balsamic vinaigrette

4 cups fresh spinach, washed and coarsely chopped

    1 bunch spring onion, chopped

    Infinite

PossibilitiesLike me, you may know Mike Dooley from

The Secret. However, he is also the author

    several best-selling books including Thoug

Become Things and Infinite Possibilities an

    the founder and CEO Adventurer

of TUT which stands for Totally Unique

Thoughts. Mike Dooley is an internationa

    speaker, adventurer, best-selling author, an

millionaire. Not bad for a guy who believes

in infinite possibilities and that thoughts ca

    become things!

As I sat down to write about Mike Dooley,

realized that I had conjured up this momen

In 2008, after being laid off by a medical

device company as a medical writer, I, like

millions of people around the planet, becam

mesmerized by a book and DVD called Th

Secret. To say that The Secret changed my

life is an understatement. I went from

wondering how to experience breakthru an

manifest the life that I desired to being able

materialize my hopes and dreams on a regu

basis. It was The Secret that first introduce

me to Mike Dooley. With piercing eyes, he

starred right into the camera and I felt that

was looking directly at me as he said,

    THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS. At that

moment, here's what I was thinking: I want

interview Mike Dooley. I want to ask him t

secret behind The Secret. I want to talk to

him one on one about how the laws of the

universe work and how I can experience

infinite possibilities in my own life.

Fast forward to 2010. Mike Dooley sat down for an interview with me and is on the cover of this

magazine, which I didn't even know would exist back in 2008. Talk about infinite possibilities and

THOUGHTS BECOMING THINGS! Deeply embedded in the fabric of these words, THOUGHT

BECOME THINGS and the belief in Infinite Possibilities is the story of my success. Truly, my

experience has been a series of Rhonda Byrne moments woven into multiple manifestations,

including The Infinite Field Magazine. In these moments, everything I need just shows up. As I c

to the universe for people to interview, writers, editors, web specialists, layout and design team,

advertisers, readers, subscribers, and capital, the universe began to respond in magnificent ways.

When I leave the "how" up to the universe, get out of my own way by releasing limiting beliefs, a

focus on the inner work of meditating, being silent, and listening, miracles happen almost instantly

Mike Dooley appeared out of thin air, it seemed, and said "Yes, I'd love to do an interview with you

was a moment ripe with intention and infinite possibility that can only be seen through the eyes of a

dreamer experiencing the reality of that dream in real time.

n the jacket flap of your book are written these words: We are spiritual beings filled with infinite potential -

venturing through a filed of possibilities, creating our own reality, our own fate, and our own luck." Can you tell

ittle more about these words that you wrote?

    ke:

ry to get my readers on to a stage of understanding the truth about the nature of reality first. Without understandin

ality and understanding who we really are there's no way you can have full power and live deliberately and

nsciously. So, basically this is alluding to the fact that we are spiritual beings, we are creators, we chose to be her

ere is no 50-50 option for survival. The stage is set for our inevitable success. We are born to thrive. It's

derstanding these truths that unlock the potential and the

ssibility. Not understanding them puts us back in the caves and giving away our power to fate, circumstances, "G

rma, spiritual contracts and stuff that need not take away from our power.

    nolve:

ne of the quotes that you use in the book is: "Know ye not that ye are gods." This is my favorite thing to know. In

ur opinion, why is it important for people to know this truth?

    ke:

goes straight to the truth of my message about who we really are and what our heritage is. We are, not metaphori

eaking, we are the eyes and the ears of God come alive in the jungles of time and space. To be clear, these are our

ngles of time and space that we created. We put time and space here so that we could have adventure. And it's sad

en taught a million other ways even though gems like this quote were given to us unadulterated thousands of yea
