The Importance of understanding how to form and use progressive verb tenses
o Good writers correctly use verbs when writing narrative and informational texts (expository writing).
o Good writers use a variety of verb tenses to make the writing more interesting.

Present Progressive Forms• The present progressive form of a verb
expresses action or a condition that is continuing in the present.

• The present progressive form consists of the helping verb am, are, or is and the present participle of the main verb.
