It´s been 5,000 years since the Egyptians discovered the magic of glass, which is almost miraculously made out of sand and fi re. Over the long course of its development, man has been transformed together with the ways of using glass, from ornaments to useful containers, up to its practical use in sacral or secular architecture.

Since the very beginning, colour has been an integral part of glass. It´s no wonder because the creators were fascinated by the transparent colourfast material that gave them the power to work with light and make stunning stained glass creations during a time when spaces and buildings came into existence with an otherworldly sensory experience.

Since the 19th century, industrial mass production has brought new possibilities for the use of architectural glass. Technological improvements enabled the realization of buildings, which have become symbols of that time in more than just public architecture. Glass also found its way into private living spaces where it could replace walls and make airy spaces, where outside and inside boundaries are eliminated.
